Ross needs no introduction, I’m sure. He’s an amazing piper, whistler, tunesmith, and I hear he’s a decent baker as well! Along with the totally-talented Brìghde Chaimbeul and the superbly-skilled Steven Byrnes, Ross has gifted us with another unique collection of music in the new album, “LAS”. For C-Smallpipe enthusiasts everywhere, this has been much-anticipated, as Brìghde and Ross did the whole thing on C-smallpipes. And whether you care a lot about the key of the pipes or it makes no difference to you at all: this album is a horizon-broadening, joy-bringing, excitement-inducing musical trip and I could not recommend it enough. In the last 48hrs I think I’ve listened it through some 9 times, and some of the tracks, (especially The Badger & The Weasel,) many more times than that, and it’s not getting old in any way. Stream it, buy it, share it with friends - get copies to hand out for the Holidays, this is good music.
