March is Women’s History month and last Monday, March 8th was International Women’s Day, so in tribute to that, this week, an episode about the incredible women in the Umphrey’s McGee organization, family and community, many that I have had the pleasure of interviewing! These women have worked or do work for the band, have raised members of the band, are married to a member or are a female umphreak. In this second part, James and I talk about the first print that Umphrey’s Mcgee commissioned for him to make and talks a little bit about the story within each print that he makes. James shares how he helped people stay positive when the pandemic started last year with his quarantine care package, and what its like making his art into puzzles, record player slip mats and more. James also talks about the other bands that he’s made prints for and the differences in making art for them and Umphrey’s McGee. We also talk about the prints he’s made for movies, the NBA 2020 All- Star Game, and a musician you wouldn’t think would be commissioning to have a poster made for their show. James also shares some advice for an artist hoping to get into the poster game. No doubt you’re going to love this second part too!

This week on the show, I am very pleased to welcome artist James Flames! In this first part, James talks about his family, and where he’s from, what artists influence him and what kind of art is hanging in his home. James and I talk about taking a different path and pursuing art as a profession in corporate America, and how he “fell” into making concert posters. James also shares who was the first big artist he made a poster for, and takes us along the whole process of making a print, from being commissioned by an artist, to it being available at the merch table at a show.

This week on the show I’ll be bringing you a full and complete rundown of the recent three nights that Umphrey's Mcgee played at Kris Myers' studio in Nashville, TN on February 4th, 5th and 6th. Tune in to hear what went down during the first time the band has played together since October 2020.

This week on the show, my conversation with Umphrey’s McGee stage manager Robbie Williams. Robbie and I talk about night 2 of the Atlanta drive in back in October 2020 and what he had to do to help the band get ready for "Wrapped around Nashville" this past weekend. He also talks about what it’s been like being at home with his wife Melissa and their 2 kids for almost a year, we also share stories about how parenting is the hardest, most rewarding job in the world. He takes us back to the moment he said 'yes' to Kevin Browning about working with the band in 2005 and so much more!

Bobby and I talk about his first job in music with the Benevento Russo Duo and he takes us on his journey to getting his job with Umphrey’s McGee. Bobby shares some details about what exactly his job entails, we talk funniest fan encounter, favorite venues, and festivals. He shares who his favorite band is and what he listened to growing up.
