How can you show youth how drugs impact their brain? Studies show that science is better than scare tactics. Knowing how to explain the affect of drugs on your brain can be tricky. You don’t want it to go “over their head” or scare them, but you want to make an impactful, honest point. In this episode Jake shares in simple language how drugs affect a person's brain and tips for sharing this info with youth.

Donnie Otto Bantle is the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority life at Purdue University. In this episode Jake and Donnie talk about student wellness, campus culture, risk, what students in fraternities and sororities are dealing with and his view on alcohol education within greek life. I love this conversation because it highlights the different perspectives within our field. Donnie highlights the care you can give students no matter where they are, if they're using drugs and alcohol to party and have fun, or whether that makes them uncomfortable. Jake also asks about the culture at Purdue… is alcohol still the #1 substance for college students in fraternity or sorority life, or has marijuana/cannabis taken its place?
