We caught up with Josh Astrop again to discuss his recent photography exhibition which took place at the Marefair Gallery in Northampton last month. We probably should have spoken to him before, or at least during the exhibition, but instead we spoke to him just after it finished - just like the consummate professionals we are.

It meant we could discuss some insights and learnings into how to put on an exhibition, and what Josh would have done differently given another go around!

We had a super long chat with the excellent Paul Michael Hughes, a friend and professional photographer who has putting out some amazing creative work for the last couple of decades.

We talk about how Paul got into working with the Guinness World Records, planning shoots, and also there's tons of good advice for budding photographers looking to go professional.

This is part one because the chat ended up being quite long, part two is coming next week. This week we mostly talk about Paul's professional work, and next week is all about his personal output.

Last week we had the honour of speaking to Chris Cheetham, a photographer who has been in the game for over 40 years! Chris has worked as a professional photographer on a variety of advertising campaigns, and is a big fan of medium and large format photography.

Chris has also made a living through running his own studio, and sold work in places such as Sotheby's. A really impressive and inspiring person, this is definitely one to watch if you're out there trying to make it as a professional photographer today!

We spoke to FRONT ambassador, photographer, film maker, and all round excellent person... Brae Hunziker!

This was a really inspiring conversation where we chatted about how Brae got into photography and film making, the value of getting rid of all your stuff on the regular and a whole load of other stuff! The full conversation was about 2 hours, so we've chopped it into 2 parts, with the second coming next Wednesday.

Be warned, there's like 2 minutes at the beginning where we just talk about spa's we visited.

We spoke to the amazing Yushy, about his recent work documenting the streets of London during the Euros.

Alongside discussing the work Aiyush has been producing, we also speak about the more daunting aspects of shooting this kind of documentary photography.

There is currently a "conversation" being had about racism in football and the UK, with the Government stoking the flames of racism whilst at the same time attempting to condemn what has taken place over the last few days.

Whilst this isn't a conversation that should still be taking place in 2021, it unfortunately is. Aiyush speaks here his own personal experiences of racism on the streets, whether it be "casual" or otherwise - but also takes time to point out that this isn't what he experiences from the majority of people.

We asked for your questions, but we only got round to answering one! This week we talk about "what's the best focal length for street photography" (thanks Yushy for that one!) and we also get into discussing what's the best way to deal with getting questioned on the street when taking photographs.

Also, Jamie got a new camera!

We're making a video about the Ricoh GRii so we figured we'd have a little chat about the camera, share some photos we've taken using it, what we like, what we don't and what we'd like to see on the Ricoh GRiv.

Let us know what you think of the camera, head over to our Instagram and send us some of the shots you've taken on it.
