Have you ever been disappointed in God? Where is God when life gets difficult, when prayers aren't answered? We see from the story of Palm Sunday that Jesus is often doing deep work that we cannot see or understand. We have to trust that He who began a good work in us will see it to completion. 

In a time of disruption can we find reminders of things we can be grateful for?
In a season of uncertainty we can choose to trust or we can choose to fear. When Jesus teaches us to pray for our daily bread He is telling us that our heavenly Father will provide for us. Do we trust Him? 

Is the world the way it is supposed to be?
We ask this question and how it applies to the prayer: Your Kingdom come, Your will be done.

Jesus tells us to be carful what our motivations are when we practice good religious things, we want to please God and not seek the applause of others. We expand this to look at the idea of living a life of pretend - a life where our identity is built on others applauding us. Jesus invites us to live a better life. A life of freedom where our identity is found in being a child of God. 

Jesus tells us if we get hit on the cheek we should turn the other one. If someone takes our jacket to give them our shirt as well. He then tells us we should love our enemies because that is how Children of God act. Is this possible? What exactly does Jesus mean? This sermon examines the teaching of Jesus on revenge and love for our enemies. 

We look at Jesus' teaching on divorce from His sermon on the mount. We also review the law of Moses, historical rabbinical interpretations on divorce and come to a conclusion about divorce, marriage and remarriage.
