Steve Ferrone grew up in Brighton, England and joined the Average White Band in the 1970s. He went on to be an extremely successful session drummer, recording and/or performing with high-profile artists such as Chaka Khan, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Jonny Cash, Mick Jagger, John Mayer…the list goes on and is prolific. He joined Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1994 and is still enjoying a busy drumming career from where he lives now in the USA.
