The TikTok hashtag #SoberDating  has over four million views. And according to the dating app Bumble, users are more likely to go on a sober date now than before the pandemic, with 62 percent believing it would help them form more genuine connections. In addition, the dating app Plenty of Fish found that 83% of users are open to the idea of Dry Dates. In fact, sober dating is the 10th biggest dating trend of 2023.Now I am not saying that going for a drink is dead. Not at all, it is still a time-honored first date tradition. However, The age of  Dry Dates is very much here to stay, and according to stats, young folks are leading it. This demographic being between the ages of 18-34 years olds are also the most dominate group on dating apps.
