Those in darkness and the shadow of death have seen a great light! This is a proclamation that is found in the reading from Isaiah and the Gospel of Matthew today. It is the true blessing of the gospel that we have. A light, Christ Himself walks among us and raises us out of darkness and sin into the kingdom of God. But, how few of us know this because we seek to remain apart from Him and others in His Church. He calls us to repent and be saved. But will we respond?
