Why is it important to recognize that Mary was the mother of God? It is because He became a human person by taking His human nature from her body. Some understand this taking of the nature of the mother by the child who falsely promotes a woman's right to choose because they understand that the fetus takes from the physical makeup of the mother what becomes the individual body each one of us now has.

Is truth important? Should we all have one faith? The answer to these questions are both yes.
