Advent is not just a time in which we prepare ourselves for Christmas. It is a time in which we really consider how we ought to receive Him and be a branch on the Vine. Have you considered how Advent prepares you to receive Christ as your Lord and Savoir? Have you really received Him into your heart, soul, being in the Blessed Sacrament? Or is it just a meaningless thing to receive bread and wine in Mass or a "Christian" service because you remember something of an Incarnate God on Calvary?
