An interesting week in LA ends with local boy Max Homa winning the Genesis Invitational at Riviera. Another solid finish for Spieth and Finau, and the Tour sets its sites on Florida.
For the second straight week, the golf world was ready to watch Jordan Spieth break a nearly four year winless drought. For the second straight week, a Florida State Seminole ruined the show. Daniel Berger played some impressive golf over the weekend at Pebble and left golf fans wondering whether Jordan is truly “back.”
The guys recap a wild couple of days in Phoenix. Brooks Koepka comes from behind to win the title, but most of the attention was on one Jordan Spieth. Is he back? Dustin Johnson won some Saudi money and the Tour heads to the Pebble Beach Pro Am…without the Ams.
Patrick Reed won the tournament, but it was his actions on Saturday that left many, including some players, upset. Another questionable rules situation has the guys flummoxed. The Tour leaves the mess in San Diego and this week’s broadcast will feature gambling odds throughout. Hard to see how gambling can be successful on Tour when some guys are not following the rules, no?
For a brief moment, the two picks made at the start of the week were tied for the lead. Then, they weren’t. The guys break down the Amex and try and wrap their heads around the NFC Championship game. Will this week give us any indication on the US Open at Torrey? Probably not, but they discuss anyway.
Kevin Na returns to the winner’s circle and the guys say “aloha” to the Hawaiian swing. As the PGA Tour returns to the mainland, what is next for JT and players being mike’d up? Also, the first Masters commercials over the weekend, who and what do we expect from Augusta.
The guys break down an interesting opening to 2021. Harris English found the winner’s circle after a long drought at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, while JT found himself on the wrong end of a hot mic. The golf world reconsiders the location of a future major and the guys talk about their hopes for 2021.
The guys review the 2020 golf season. From a fragmented PGA Tour Schedule to a Fall Masters, this year seemed to have it all. Chris and Duff also discuss the status of their own games and look forward to 2021.
The lead got down to one stroke after the fifth hole, but for the most part Sunday was all about the number one player in the world striding his way into the Champions Locker Room at Augusta. An impressive week from a player that seems to be finally tapping into the potential so many have seen.
The number one player in the world will take a four stroke lead into the final round of the 2020 Masters. Tiger was unable to mount much of a charge and Duff’s prediction of Phil shooting “something special” sort of ended up correct. Can anyone stop DJ?
