Your favorite funny men are here to finish the Dark Phoenix Saga! This week Gary and Jeremy cover Dark Phoenix Part 3 and 4, which have subtitles but you can just assume they're WHAT ABOUT JEAN because that's basically all Scott ever says. There's lots of fun stuff in this episode, most notably Jeremy's terrible explanation of Mardi Gras and Gary's refusal to talk about the "product" or sex. Dang!

Gary Butterfield and Kole Ross do a postmodern postmortem on the first portion of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty.

Metal Gear Solid 2 is a game that's been talked to death, but we try our best to bring our own perspective and approach to it. It's a sequel that Kojima never wanted to make. It's full of curveballs and "fuck you"s aimed at series fans. It has lots of ideas that are shockingly prescient. But, most of all, it's got some play issues that haven't aged super well.

This episode covers up through the encounter with Fat Man on the Big Shell.

This week, Autumn Greer and Paddy Smith stop by to talk about the first portion of the climax of The Waste Lands. Instead of finding wise elves and dune buggies in the city of Lud, our ka-tet instead find teeming masses of raiders committing heinous acts beneath the victims of their sacrifices. We're introduced to Gasher, a singularly unpleasant character who breaks up our group by kidnapping Jake. Roland and Oy go after him, while Susannah and Eddie look for the fabled Cradle of Lud, and the fearsome Blaine.
