A Chronological 2018-19 Duke Season in Review (With Brant Wilkerson-New)

I've done an ACC season in review episode, I've done an MSU overview episode (though limiting it to simply MSU seems kinda ridiculous tbh but MOVING ON) so now it's time look back at Duke's season in a shockingly organized way going all the way back to August 2018 in Canada. I'm joined by News and Record Triangle Beat Reporter Brant Wilkerson-New to help me remember our feels throughout the different portions of Duke's schedule and recall our thoughts/opinions/analysis at the time.

With the hot takes in the rearview and most already having moved on to next season, it feels like a good time to give my own thoughts on MSU for this episode, with a 2018-19 season deep dive soon to come.

I discuss everything that happened in the MSU loss. What if anything was understandable?W hat's some good historical context? Should we have seen this coming? What was the most frustrating aspect about the game? Should we blame RJ Barrett? (HELL NO). Was the strategy solid and the execution the problem? The reverse? Not enough experience? Should Coach K be fired and replaced immediately by Mike Buckmire? All this and much more is discussed, though maybe not the last part about Buckmire... should it have been? 🤔

Duke's halfway through the bracket, and while there's worrisome trends worth pointing out, the bottom line = survive and advance.

A bit overly stat-reliant since I hadn't seen much Michigan State this season, but did as much cramming as possible on the Spartans to at least get something out there for you guys resembling quality.
