Mitch and Pat are joined by a special guest: Brother-in-law of the pod, Nathan!
They talk awards, Mitch laments the Timberwolves (and Nathan's) turnovers in a completely healthy fashion, and land the plane with a trade offer to the Dallas Mavericks.
Mitch and Pat are back to break down two very different games:
The victory over the Kings was full of the pre-holiday anticipation and hope. The Wolves put forth one of their best efforts of the season and kept the beam from being lit!
The loss to the Thunder was a reminder of the sobering reality that not everyday is Christmas and even the players might be feeling a little bit of the post-holiday blues.
We talk about them both in this special two-for-one episode!
Mitch and Pat are back to do a brief recap of the victory of the Lakers. Then Pat walks Mitch through the gifts he plans to get for each of the players currently in the rotation, and asks if Mitch will join in on the gift by signing the card.
Also, the debut of a new segment, cocktail corner with Uncle Mitch!
Pat is flying solo tonight as Mitch is out of town! Coincidentally, some have already said that this is the best eighteen minutes of Dunks After Dusk yet and some are even saying these eighteen minutes have the potential to redefine the whole podcasting industry.
The Timberwolves have their best offensive performance of the year with Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way with 40 points, followed closely by Anthony Edwards 37.
These two get some love, as does Naz Reid and the Timberwolves 3rd quarters. Aaron Nesmith also gets a "little" shoutout as well.
Mitch and Pat are back to help everyone (including themselves) not overreact to a loss. They talk about a disjointed game with tons of free throws, a disappearing act for a few players, and hand out some game awards.
Plus some bonus talk about Pat's 1st quarter player grades!
One quarter of the way through the season and the Minnesota Timberwolves are on a 66-16 pace. Mitch and Pat are back to offer some game awards followings the team's blowout victory in Memphis, along with taking just a few moments to celebrate the first quarter of the season. A few highlights:
Mitch may have set the bleeps per minute record in a Kyle Anderson rant
A feral man catches a T-shirt, the Wizard of Naz, and another Minnesota Timberwolves victory. Mitch attended the game with his son [redacted], so he's up for the game awards tonight.
