Today's lesson came from a question I got from a friend.
Why Jesus.
This was more of why would someone choose Jesus.
To me it was so simple and easy.
LOVE.
Jesus loved us and died for us.
I chose Jesus because he chose us first.

This lesson is very important to us as Christians.
Isaiah 40:31 contains a great promise of strength for the weary: “they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
This promises a supernaturally renewed strength.
GOD has a plan and a purpose.

In this lesson we talk about how Noah built an Ark.
It was brand new and perdy.
We know that Noah didn't care how nice it was, the purpose of it was to save lost souls.
We have nice churches and the leaders of those churches seem to care more about how nice they can keep them looking.
Instead of caring more about the lost souls around it.
We need to get back to calling out for the lost to come into the safe place.

In this message I share about my golden retriever, Kylde.
He was a wonderful dog and wanted only to please you.
I talk about how he loves to run off and be gone for hours if you don't hook him up on a leash.
Kylde wanted to make you happy.
He would come back after a while and was happy to be home.
Free will would have him run off.
Free will would also have him come back.
We have free will to leave GOD but we hope that just like Kylde we come back.

I think that this message really needs to be talked about.
We know that we need to live right.
To do the right thing at the right time.
But as good as we are it will not get us into Heaven.
We can't get in by works or deeds.
Unbelief is the reason that you go to Hell instead of Heaven.
We have to believe in Jesus, who came born of a virgin, lived and died, raised himself up on the 3rd day and is now in Heaven at the right hand of GOD.
Come to Jesus when he calls on your heart.

We continue with our message on how Jesus came walking on the sea.
How he can go thru the worst storms and in the darkest part of the night to reach us.
Our Heavenly Savior comes to our rescue at our time of need.
Jesus knows how to find us and where we need him most.
We know that the chosen few were struggling and trying to make it to the other side.
They couldn't get there without Jesus help.
Join me as we talk about this and more.
The most talked about miracle that Jesus did, walking on water.
The walking was only part of it, saving those who believed in him.

During this message we talk about one of the greatest talked about miracles that Jesus did.
Walking on water.
Jesus had just finished the feeding of the 5000 with the loaves and fishes.
Jesus sent the people away and sent the disciples to the other side of the sea.
Jesus told them that he needed to go and pray.
While the disciples were in the middle of the sea, a storm came against them.
Struggle as they might they couldn't advance.
They were experienced boaters but they couldn't get the upper hand on this one.
On a good day you could make it by boat to the other side in about 4 hours.
They had been at it for a long time and was only half way over.
The darkest part of the night and they see what they thought was a ghost moving over the water.
They cried out and Jesus answered them, don't worry it is I.
Jesus makes his presence known in the worst of storms.
We only need to call out to him in our time of troubles.
Jesus can walk thru the worst of things right to us and calm that storm.

Simon of Cyrene is mentioned in three of the four Gospels as the man impelled by the Roman soldiers to carry Jesus’ cross out of Jerusalem.
His place of origin has led many to wonder if he was of African descent (and therefore black), or if he was simply born there as were many others of Greek, Roman, and Jewish descent.
Simon of Cyrene is mentioned in Matthew, Mark and Luke.
Matthew only records his name and place of origin (27:32), but Mark and Luke say that he was “on his way in from the country” (Luke 23:26).
Mark, uncharacteristically, provides the most information about Simon, adding that he was “the father of Alexander and Rufus” (Mark 15:21), men obviously well known to Mark’s readers.
It is speculated that the Rufus mentioned here may be the same man Paul greets in his letter to Rome, whom he calls “chosen in the Lord” and whose mother “has been a mother to me, too” (Romans 16:13).
Paul’s knowledge of Rufus’s family indicates that at some point they lived further east.

We all know about the giant - Goliath but he wasn't the only giant in the bible.
The land was cursed with many races of them.
as we look into the different tribes and locations of these groups of giants we want you to keep in mind that these giants were real.
The children of GOD had to fight and defeat those real giants at times.
today we face other types of giants but the same GOD that helped the saints of old will help you and me defeat the giants we face.
