In this lesson we talk about how Jesus told the story of someone being robbed and beaten close to death.
Jesus told how the holy people came by this man lying and dying on the side of the road.
How the holy people crossed to the opposite side of the road just so they wouldn't have to help.
But a Samaritan came by and had compassion on the hurt man.
The Samaritan dressed the wounds, placed the hurt guy on his own animal and took him to an INN.
Paid for the care of the hurt man. 
Saying that he would cover any additional costs upon his return to this spot.
Jesus was teaching that most of the Holy people go out of the way to help those in need.

In Numbers we follow the children of Israel as they travel in the desert.
They were always complaining and wanting.
GOD had delivered them from slavery and was giving them the Promised Land.
Yet they were ungrateful and took every chance to turn their back on GOD.
In our story Moses is leading this group of spoiled children.
Sure they were thirsty and instead of trusting GOD to provide then forced Moses into talking to GOD to deliver water for them.
GOD told Moses to gather all together and smote the rock that had followed them on their journey.
Moses did and water came forth.
Later on the crowd uprised again about being thirsty and GOD told Moses to gather them together in front of the rock but this time talk to the rock.
Moses got the people together, fussed at them, then struck the rock again.
GOD had to punish Moses for not following his command.
We can't do things that worked before just because we wanted to do the same thing.
We need to do things as GOD tells us, that way it is done right.

With this first day of the New Year we wanted to talk about walking with GOD.
The best thing we will ever do is to get a relationship with GOD.
We have family here and that is great but the Heavenly family will last forever.

During this message we talk about the tradition of making a New Years promise.
It is custom of a new time to focus on doing things better or different.
We all plan on doing good things.
We might even do them for a little while.
When you set goals it is easier to reach them.
Following thru is the hard part.
We can tell you from experience that try as hard as you can do change and it mostly happens for a short time.
We go back to the old ways and feel bad.
The only true way to change is to allow GOD to change us.
Let Jesus do the changing and it will be done.

We see warnings of something coming.
The turning of the leaves before the rain.
GOD provides us a warning sign.
In the spiritual side of warnings, GOD sends warnings of storms coming.
It is up to us to heed them and prepare for it.

I was listening to the radio and heard the speaker talk about a question that a listener asked.
At rapture if a woman is pregnant will she still be pregnant in Heaven?
His answer was she would be a woman for a split second, long enough to hold her new baby.
Then they both will be changed into genderless bodies.
I shouldn't be shocked at that answer.
My spirit told me that once Jesus comes back after those who believed on him.
The dead in Christ will rise first and then everyone else.
In a moment in a twinkling of an eye.  
I am not going to fight about how it ends. Just know that we are going to Heaven to be with Jesus forever.

We heard a story from a farmer about birds.
He had some birds that would fly over and over into his sliding glass door.
He wanted to do something to help.
As we hear about his story we think how it applies to how we try to help the lost.

This message talks about how the world is cold to things.
We would love that kindness and love is what is being spread but that isn't the case.
When you extend a hand of kindness be careful because most will bite it.
Ungrateful or just cold hearted people.
We all have them in our family.
The bible warns us that this would happen in the last days.
Cold hearted people only care about themselves.
