With all the Disney Parks currently shut down, Disney news has been lacking in so many words.  But instead on talking about all the different layoffs and closures at Disney Parks this week, we decided to take a different approach.  Many of us out there are currently quarantined due to COVID-19, and at the same time we can’t enjoy places like the Magic Kingdom.  So we are giving you some suggestions to bring the magic of Disney into your home as we all shelter in place keeping safe.  Also Nicole talks about here recent trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for her bachelorette party the day before all the Walt Disney World Parks shut down.  Plus your birthday shoutouts as well.

For many weeks now I have avoided talking about this during the podcast.  Simple because there just wasn’t enough information to go on concerning Disney’s intentions in response to the coronavirus/COVID-19.  But as things have continued to escalate here in the U.S., I decided it was time to talk about this.  Initially, as I recorded the podcast I was talking about the steps Disney was taking to keep their guests safe at Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, and the closure of Disneyland.  But just as soon as I was finished with the show everything changed.  Now all Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line are shut down for the month of March 2020.  So during the podcast this week we talk with a Cast Member from the Walt Disney World Resort on his reaction to these closings.  And Nicole also joins me from Orlando as she talks about her upcoming bachelorette party even with Disney World about to close.  It all comes down to this….  As of Monday, March 16th the sun has set on Disney.  But for how long??

It has been a crazy week of Disney Headlines for this podcast this week.  Spaceship Earth over at Epcot gets set for a lengthy refurbishment, a Jungle Cruise boat at the Magic Kingdom has an incident, and the reigns of the Walt Disney Company change hands out of nowhere.  Plus a rumor starts to circulate once again about Indiana Jones at the Walt Disney World.

This week on DW:60’s Press Row we’ve got some interesting news about Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom.  According to Disney Parks Blog, the iconic structure is going to be getting a makeover for the 70th Anniversary of the Disney Classic Movie “Cinderella”.  Now don’t worry, we’re not talking about a birthday cake or toilet paper type of makeover like in past years.  This one is very tasteful and seems to be very popular with the Disney community.  Also we will address two rumors circulating around the Disney Social Media pages about Epcot and The Mandalorian at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.

It's show #75 of DW:60's Press Row and with us just celebrating Valentine's Day this weekend, Nicole and I thought it would be nice to talk about some of the romantic things that you can do around the Walt Disney World Resort as a couple.  Now right off the bat you might be thinking of places like the Magic Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Well most of the time that is exactly where guests may choose, but we decided to talk about the things you can do outside of the Disney Parks like Disney Springs, The Grand Floridian Resort, or Miniature Golf at Winter Summerland. This week on DW:60's Press Row we are taking Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  Wait what.....  Yep you read that right!  It's only January in 2020 and news has already broke about a possible start time for the hard ticked event at the Magic Kingdom.  Problem is (and this is just my opinion), it really just seems too early of a time to start celebrating the fall season and Halloween.  Also in the headlines this week, H20 Glow Nights announcement for 2020, Space Mountain and Carousel of Progress 45th Anniversary Merchandise, and some sad news of the passing of a well known Disney Cast Member from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.
