When I discovered passive real estate investing, it opened a door of opportunity I didn’t even know existed.

I’d been juggling the demands of a high-pressure career and investing in real estate on my own. I had no idea there was an easier way to invest, that didn’t require all of my time and sole responsibility.

Then, a colleague of mine introduce me to passive real estate investing. The light bulb went on. There was an easier way. This experience also helped me realize that so many of the opportunities we get in life come down to being in an environment that educates and inspires us.

Over the past 30 years of working really hard, I overcame every obstacle and I am very successful in business. I could have pretty much anything that I want, but I still am not happy. There is an emptiness inside of me and I start to grow depressed. "What's next?" I have past the halfway point in my life. I struggle to figure out a purpose and what to do with the rest of my life.

Growing up in Chicago during the 1970s, my parents had learned that the apartment building that we were living in was going up for sale. They mustered up the minimum downpayment and bought it, just in time when the high unemployment and mortgage rates of the late 70s slammed us. It was a struggle to survive. My neighbourhood was littered with burnt out buildings, as property owners would torch their own buildings to collect on the insurance money

Mark has been an active Real Estate investor in the Baltimore Maryland area for the last 15 years. With over 100+ rental units, Mark Owens has made a name for himself in the Baltimore Real Estate investor community.

Tim is a 15 year veteran of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) and currently serves as a lieutenant in the borough of Queens. Until recently, he also worked part-time as an emergency room RN at a level 1 trauma center. He brings years of real world management and leadership experience to his real estate investment career.

Tim’s initial goal with real estate was to create passive income and in turn, be able to spend more time with his wife and three little girls. After partnering on a multifamily property he saw first-hand the power of real estate investing as an opportunity to create passive income and build wealth for his family.

He started Cityside Capital with the goal of not only growing his own portfolio but also to help others realize the power that real estate investing can have on creating passive income and building wealth.

Cityside Capital has $45 million of assets under management including 335 multifamily units. Tim has also invested as a limited partner in 256 multifamily units in Texas and in a large retail super center in Tennessee.
