The rankings debate is back, and one host just made a trade the internet is already roasting him for. On this episode of the Dynasty Nerds Podcast, Rich Dotson, Matt O'Hara, and Garret Price dig into the players where their boards split hardest. π₯

A.J. Brown opens things up with a 20 spot gap between hosts, and the conversation turns into a clinic on how to rank a 29 year old who still produces. Kenneth Walker III gets a surprising comparison to Javonte Williams, and one host argues the Kansas City backfield history matters more than the talent. Then Bryce Young brings out a side of Matt nobody has heard before, and Mark Andrews splits the room on whether the wheels are already coming off.
Rich gave up Tyler Shough and Jaylen Waddle for KC Concepcion, and he explains exactly why he is fine getting waxed publicly for it. Jonah Coleman closes the show with an Alvin Kamara comparison that might change how you value him. Stack these takes against your dynasty rankings before your next trade.

Training camp season means projection season, and the market does not always agree with the film. On this episode of the Dynasty Nerds Podcast, Garret Price and Andrew Mott play a guess the line game, stacking Garret's season long projections against the posted totals to see who is really out over their skis. π―

Caleb Williams and Jaxson Dart kick things off, and one of those passing totals is so low that Garret calls it a hard pass on the spot. Ashton Jeanty does not crack a thousand rushing yards in the projection, while rookie Jeremiyah Love lands closer to him than anyone expected. Marvin Harrison Jr. gets a make or break number, and Parker Washington quietly leads every Jacksonville receiver, including Brian Thomas Jr. π³
The second half is where it turns. Justin Herbert, Malik Willis, Omarion Hampton, Bhayshul Tuten, and Tetairoa McMillan all get graded, and Garret rescues his score in the clutch. Then comes Luther Burden III, whose touchdown number should give the hype train pause. Line up your own guesses against the dynasty rankings and see how you stack up.

The first real game action of the year gave us plenty to chew on. Garret Price and Andrew Mott sort through preseason week one and separate the performances that actually matter from the ones you should forget by Thursday. π

De'Zhaun Stribling opened with eight targets and seven catches, and the guys break down what that means in a receiver room where nearly everyone else is 30 or older. DJ Moore looked like the forgotten man of the offseason finally waking up, and Andrew explains what a contender should be willing to pay. Ty Simpson went 21 of 25 with two scores, while Drew Allar threw two touchdowns and ran for another. Garret lays out why he is firmly on Team Allar in that Pittsburgh quarterback race behind Aaron Rodgers. Plus KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston, Ja'Kobi Lane, and Elijah Sarratt all get their moment.
Kaytron Allen carried it 23 times for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Garret argues that is actually bad news. Dean Connors flashed but faces a brutal depth chart. And on the injury front, Breece Hall, Jeremiyah Love, and Jordyn Tyson all gave their managers a reason to sweat before real football even starts.

Dynasty Tight End Rankings: The Position Has Never Looked Better
The tight end tier that used to hold two names now holds seven. Rich Dotson, Matt O'Hara, and Garret Price close out the positional primer with the dynasty tight end top 12, plus the dark horses and the one guy they are all steering around. π

Brock Bowers is the unanimous tight end one and the only one Garret would consider in the first round of a superflex startup. Trey McBride has posted wide receiver one numbers two years running, which is the cheat code the crew keeps coming back to. Colston Loveland and Tyler Warren follow, with Loveland carrying the ceiling and Warren the floor. Kyle Pitts is climbing boards mid recording, while Harold Fannin Jr. and Tucker Kraft round out the group. Past tight end eight, the guys say the difference maker window closes entirely.
Isaiah Likely, Greg Dulcich, and Mark Andrews get the dark horse nods, with Garret calling Andrews the best value at the position in dynasty. On the avoid side, one popular young tight end has a situation problem that two offseason additions made worse.

Wide receiver week rolls on, and the top of the dynasty board is starting to feel a lot less settled than it looks. Ja'Marr Chase, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Puka Nacua are locked in, but the real debate starts right behind them. The guys make the case that CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown are living on borrowed time at these prices, with a loaded 2027 class waiting to push them down. Malik Nabers, Drake London, Tetairoa McMillan, Garrett Wilson, Emeka Egbuka, and Carnell Tate all get their moment, and one of them draws a Larry Fitzgerald comparison. Check your own board against the dynasty rankings before you listen.
Jameson Williams, Denzel Boston, and Rome Odunze headline the top six sleeper picks. Then things get spicy with the avoids, where Alec Pierce, Nico Collins, and DeVonta Smith all get called out, one of them a full round below consensus. π₯

Training camp hype season is here, and every rookie is suddenly a breakout waiting to happen. On this episode of the Dynasty Nerds Podcast, Garret Price and Andrew Mott sort the signal from the noise with a simple 1 to 4 scale, where one means not buying it at all and four means full blown conductor of the hype train. π

The show opens with a four, and it belongs to Cyrus Allen. Andrew calls him his most rostered player in dynasty right now, pointing to a Kansas City receiver room with real cracks and a rookie who has been the go to target from the moment he walked in the building. Jacoby Lane draws the loudest beat reporter praise of camp, and the guys explain why Baltimore opportunity is real even if the ceiling talk has gotten out of hand. Carson Beck earns a matching three from both hosts after his Hall of Fame game reps, with a 2027 path that should sound familiar.
Not every drumbeat lands. Jonah Coleman, Nick Singleton, Jordan Tyson, and Ted Hurst all get the cold water treatment for very different reasons, and one of them takes a one from the analyst who likes him most. Fire up the episode before your next round of rookie mock drafts. π₯

2027 Rookie Mock Draft: Two Rounds Before a Single Snap
College football is less than three weeks away, so it is time to put a stake in the ground. Garret Price and Andrew Mott run a full two round superflex tight end premium mock for the 2027 class, and the depth here is going to change how you value your current roster. π

Jeremiah Smith goes 1.01 without debate, and Andrew says teams should already be tanking for him. Cam Coleman follows as the receiver who would headline almost any other class. Then the quarterback run starts with Dante Moore, Arch Manning, and Julian Sayin, and Garret explains why he took the ceiling swing over the safe pick. Quinshon Lacy and Ahmad Hardy come off the board before the first tight end, Jamari Johnson.
Jaden Baugh gets a Javonte Williams comparison from Garret, who thinks he could close the gap on the top backs by December. Traeshon Green makes it two potential first round tight ends. And the guys ran out of picks before they ran out of names, which tells you everything about this class.

Dynasty Running Back Rankings: The Top 12, Dark Horses, and Guys to Avoid
Part two of the positional primer lands on the most volatile spot in fantasy football. Rich Dotson, Matt O'Hara, and Garret Price lay out the consensus top 12 dynasty running backs and disagree hard on what any of them are actually worth in a trade. π

Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs sit alone at the top, and the crew agrees almost nobody dislodges them. Below that, Ashton Jeanty, De'Von Achane, Jeremiyah Love, and Omarion Hampton form a tier, though Rich is not convinced Hampton belongs in it and would rather have Breece Hall. The real fireworks come over price. Garret will pay three firsts for the top two and two firsts plus for the next tier. Rich has a personal rule against paying multiple firsts for any running back, and explains exactly why. Treveon Henderson gets called the hardest player in the sport to rank.
RJ Harvey, Jonathan Brooks, and Bhayshul Tuten get the dark horse nods for a top six finish. On the avoid list, Chase Brown, Josh Jacobs, and one popular rookie whose ADP has climbed past the guys these three would rather roster.

The quarterback position is about to get shaken up, and the 2027 class has not even arrived yet. Rich Dotson, Matt O'Hara, and Garret Price kick off a two week positional primer with a full breakdown of the dynasty quarterback landscape heading into 2026. π

Josh Allen or Drake Maye at the top? The crew is split, and the tiebreaker comes down to five elite years versus ten good ones. Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels round out a top four dominated by the 2024 class. Then comes the murky middle with Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes, where the community and the nerds disagree sharply. Rich makes an aggressive case for Trevor Lawrence as a top five dynasty asset that Garret is not quite ready to sign off on.
Kyler Murray in a quarterback friendly system gets multiple votes as the guy who could vault into the top six out of nowhere. Rich likes Daniel Jones more than anyone expects. On the avoid side, one Super Bowl winning quarterback and one riser are getting valued far higher than this crew is comfortable paying.

Picks Versus Players: Would You Rather Bet on 2027 or Take the Production Now?
The 2027 draft class hype is real, but how much are you willing to give up to chase it? Garret Price and Andrew Mott run through six picks versus players matchups, no contender or rebuilder context, just pure value in a vacuum. π

Is Quinshon Judkins worth more than a mid 2027 first? Does Joe Burrow hold up against a top three pick that could land Jeremiah Smith? Garret and Andrew split on that one, and the reasoning behind the disagreement is the whole point of the exercise. They also weigh Chase Brown against a 2028 first and explain why renting production and buying the pick back later is an underrated move.
Jordan Tyson forces Andrew into the hardest decision of the show. Eli Stowers runs into a Dalton Kincaid comparison that should worry his managers. And the 2026 1.06 versus Javonte Williams debate splits the guys again over floor versus upside.
