Thank you to everyone who listened to today live. It was definitely a reflection session for me which I think helped me more than anything 🤣🤣.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my brain process and how I talk to myself as it’s a daily thing for me. Apologies it was a bit all over the place but that’s me and I’m all about showing that.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this recently due to my work with the UN Women UK as a delegate. As the theme circles around technology I wanted to speak about my experiences using tech as a dyslexic woman.

Let me know your thoughts about technology and if it’s accessible and what can we do to make a change in this.

Dyslexia and switching off

In today episode I spoke about my challenge with switching my brain off.

I am known to be an over thinker and my brain feels like it’s constantly thinking about things. Whether this is about work, something that happened a couple weeks ago or a conversation I had years ago and should have said something.

I’m curious to know if other dyslexic people have this challenge of always thinking and what you do about it.

I did mention that having a routine has really helped my brain to switch off. As during either gym or dance my brain leaves me be and I can get on with it.

Is there a way to train your brain into thinking less at certain times🤨

Thank you for tuning in to today live which was all about dyslexia and the world of dating.

I spoke about my experience with these as well as what challenges can arise when dating as a dyslexic person. I really looked at communication, misunderstandings, working memory and much more.

A healthy relationship requires understanding from other ends and sometimes it may be tricky. However us dyslexic people can date and have amazing relations.

In the episode I speak about my experiences in sport how my dyslexia affected me whilst playing sport, the strengths I brought the weakness I faced and just generally speaking about the need to hear more voices in the sporting world about neurodiversity.

I have something in the pipeline regarding some more content about sport so watch out for that. But for now I want this to spark conversations about the sporting world and dyslexia and how we can better support neurodivergent people in sport.

Thank you for tuning into my fourth episode where I talk about my love-hate relationship with words.

It can be hard finding the right words sometimes and it’s annoying when you can see them but the word won’t come out. I know there are links to dyslexia and phonics and I talk about this in the video.

I’m really interested in the science behind this and I am on a mission to learn more about it as I do really find it intriguing.

My next episode will be Tuesday 17th January where I will be talking about working full-time with dyslexia.

I definitely had a bit of a dyslexic moment and you know what that’s fine. I do these to be real and honest and show what’s it like being dyslexic. I can’t always find the words and I sometimes go on a completely different topic. But I hope you can relate watching this as today one of my days where my brain truly has a mind of its own.
