There's no way to go through life without encountering nasty joy-suckers. In this episode, Jason talks about one of those nasty joy-suckers that he allowed to attach itself to his Christian life many years ago, and it caused him major anxiety and panic issues.

What was it?

It all came down to doubting his salvation in Christ ... he was constantly questioning ...

- Can I lose it?

- Will I lose it?

- Did I lose it?

He discovered that those are not the questions we should be asking. The real question we all need to ask ourselves is ... "Do I genuinely have salvation to begin with?" ... Because if you genuinely have it, then it can NEVER be taken from you. See John 6:37; John 10:27-30; Romans 8:38-39; and Hebrews 13:5

There's nothing you can do to make God love you any more than He already does, and there's nothing you have done that can make Him love you any less. His love is steadfast and unchanging (Psalm 136). As the old hymn says ... "Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus blood and righteousness. We dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name. On Christ the solid rock we stand. All other ground is sinking sand."

So remove that nasty joy-sucker of doubting your salvation from your life by knowing that your faith is not based on our own righteousness or "feelings" but on the Person and finished work of God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ! See Ephesians 2:8-9.

And that means that even in the midst of all the $#@& that you're going through right now, you still have a reason to rejoice! Because no matter how bad or painful life is for you right now, your faith in Christ has got you covered ... God is still with you (Heb. 13:5) ... and Heaven is still your home (Phil. 3:20)!
