Today's episode walks through the basic care plan for a parathyroidectomy. You'll be drawing PTH levels throughout the case so think ahead about where you'll have access for blood draws. Also, pay attention to your calcium levels and check with the surgeon regarding monitoring. You'll most likely use a NIM tube for this case!
