The word for this week is GROWTH. It’s easy to look at everything that’s happened to the world this year and feel disheartened and overwhelmed. But what if everything that has happened to you and around you has been the soil that has actually allowed you to grow and develop? Just like puberty or a seed turning into an actual plant, growth is not easy and cannot be timed down to an exact science. All we know is that it can be painful and it certainly needs the right environment, I’d like to challenge your thoughts process to view this period and a space of growth.

The word for this week is satisfaction. The dictionary definition is the “fulfilment of one's wishes, expectations, or needs, or the pleasure derived from this”. Reading this definition out loud has really made me reflect on my wishes and comparing that with what God wants from us. It’s almost as though, if our wishes are not rooted in what God has planned for us then we will ultimately not be fulfilled and we will feel as though our expectations and needs are not being met. Honestly, I know this is much easier said than done, but I’d like to look at the very fundamentals for a second. Let’s forget purpose, careers, passion projects and even ministry (dare I say it). If we were to look at God’s will for us a singular item, it would be simply to have faith in Jesus and serve him… Do you think we can truly find satisfaction in just serving God?

Let’s explore this topic further in the daily prayers and I challenge to try and focus this week on seeking satisfaction in your relationship with Jesus Christ alone, look at ways that you can shift your focus onto what he has done and what he is currently doing for you, as you spend Each Day With God.

The word for this week is Subtle. It took a while to figure out exactly how this word could be expanded to support us, but as always God showed himself faithful and true. The word subtle is is defined as: “(especially of a change or distinction) so delicate or precise as to be difficult to analyse or describe” or “making use of clever and indirect methods to achieve something.” Having the Holy Spirit live within us gives us the gentle and precise nudges we need to live out our daily lives as Christians. Having grace and peace in the Holy Spirit helps achieve our goals and live a Christ-like life, that in itself is a huge achievement.

Focus this week on identifying when the Holy Spirit is speaking to you and nudging you to make decisions, remember you are never alone in your decision making so continue to walk confidently as you spend Each Day, With God.

The word for this week is Sowing. There are so many different ways that this word can be reviewed and applied. This week we will try and tackle as many scenarios as possible, to make this word applicable to different aspects of your life. Interestingly, the bible has always used farming and shepherding as the basis for many of it’s parables and stories. As children of God we know there are some general formulas that stand true and the formula of sowing to then reap later still applies today.

The word for this week is Solitude. Whilst this word may seem very negative, I want to challenge you to repurpose this word and understand that you can find solitude with God. Solitude is often referred to when people think of loneliness, but as children of God we know we are not alone, no matter what we face.

The word for this week is REVIVE. Focus this week on reviving everything in your life you thought was dead, from you relationship with God to your academic and career aspirations even down to failed governments and God-given relationships you though had ended. God has made clear that he will cause a revival when we focus on him. Only he had the power to revive all that you have lost, meditate on his word through the scriptures we have provided you here and experience true revival as you commit to Each Day With God.
