Prof. Soyer is the Inaugural Chair in Dermatology at the University of Queensland, Director of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Dermatology Department, and Project & QLD Lead of Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis.

In this second part of a two-episode series on health risks associated with sunbed use, Prof. Mariano Suppa rejoins us and shares his research findings with a special focus on European sunbed use. His call for effective educational, behavioural and legislative interventions to reduce the popularity of artificial tanning in Europe is particularly relevant as we kick off Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

Dr Sarah Walsh of the EADV Education Committee sits down and speaks with prominent researchers Dr Pauline O'Reilly and Prof. Jean-Pascal Lefaucheur to discuss two previously poorly-explored aspects of SJS/TEN. Prof Lefaucheur gives insights in to the prevalence of chronic skin pain and possible pathomechanisms, and Dr O’Reilly discusses her research in the area of post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychological consequences of this devastating disease, for patients themselves, their families and their care-givers.
