This week, host Elizabeth speaks with Ashley Waldron, a sophomore at Boston College studying engineering. Ashley serves as an equipment manager for the BC men’s hockey team. With her engineering knowledge and experience in the hockey world, Ashley created SaucerPost, a device that helps hockey players practice passing the puck and stickhandling. Her invention is used by the BC hockey team in training.

This week, hosts Elizabeth and Kathy speak with Ella O'Kelly-Lynch and Ryan O’Connor, two members of The Common Tones of Boston College. Ella, a senior studying Economics and Public Health, serves as the president of the group, overseeing general club operations such as rehearsal times and concert dates. Ryan, a junior studying Political Science, History, and Music, is the Tones’ music director, overseeing rehearsal facilitation and song arrangement.

The Tones are BC’s first and only service-based a cappella group. This past school year, the group was featured in various on-campus performances, including Acapalooza, their annual Fall Cafe, and CAB’s Art Showcase. Most recently, their “Carol of the Tones” TikTok attracted 73 million views and the attention of the Grammys’ TikTok account, who commented asking the group to create a mashup of the songs nominated for Song of the Year.

This week, hosts Elizabeth and Kathy speak with Christine Lenahan, a Joseph A. O’Hare fellow at America Media, a Jesuit paper with the goal of connecting the church’s mission to the world. She was also an undergraduate research fellow for the Boston College English Department. At BC, she studied the 19th century feminist movement. Christine graduated from BC in 2023 with a degree in philosophy and English literature, and will be pursuing a J.D. from BC Law this fall.

This week, host Isabella speaks with Kristie Dickinson-Latta, an adjunct professor of design thinking in the Boston College Carroll School of Management and an entrepreneur in residence for the Boston College Shea Center for Entrepreneurship. After graduating from BC in 2014 with a degree in management and marketing, she went on to work at Apple, serving as a partnership manager for kids and education apps and later leading Apple Watch development efforts in a developer relations role. She most recently founded Surprise & Delight Studios, an “experience design consulting firm” in Boston.

This week, hosts Isabella and Elizabeth speak with Zinnie Wright, an exchange student from the University of Bristol currently attending Boston College. She recently wrote a magazine article for The Heights called “Building a Home Away From Home: An Exchange Student’s Guide to Living with a Roommate,” in which she highlighted her experience moving from England to Boston, Mass., where she had to adjust to an entirely new living environment. She also provided tips for fellow and incoming exchange students on ways to adapt to living with a roommate in communal housing at BC. She is currently studying theology.

This week, host Elizabeth speaks with Brian Taff, co-anchor of Action News at 4 p.m. and anchor of Action News at 6 p.m. in Philadelphia. After earning a degree in communication from Boston College, Taff began his journalism career at WVII-TV in Maine and later became a reporter and anchor at Capital News 9 in Albany. He later became editor and anchor of the news show Capital Tonight, where he won the Associated Press Award for Best Interview two years in a row. His journalism roles have sent him on journeys around the world, including trips to Rome to cover the election of the Pope and to the White House to interview former president Barack Obama.

This week, hosts Isabella and Elizabeth speak with Clinton Kelly, style expert, author, and television personality. Kelly is best known for his role as the co-host of What Not to Wear, TLC’s longest-running prime time reality show. He appeared in more than 300 episodes of What Not to Wear between 2003 and 2013, with over one million people tuning in to the popular makeover program every week for 10 years. Since then, he has continued to work as an entrepreneur and private style consultant and has published several books. He was also a co-host on The Chew from 2011 through 2018 and won an Emmy for his role on the show. Before becoming a household name, Kelly received a master’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Boston College.

This week, Eagle Eye host Elizabeth speaks with two guests, UGBC President Jonah Kotzen and UGBC Vice President Meghan Heckelman. Running on the slogan “Eagles for Others,” the pair focused their campaign around improving the lives of BC students in relation to acceptance, academics, activity, and adjustment. Kotzen, MCAS ’24, studies biology and classical studies on the pre-med track and previously served as the policy coordinator for UGBC’s Council for Students with Disabilities and as the Student Assembly Intersectionality Committee chairperson. Heckelman, LSEHD ’25, studies applied psychology and political science and served as the director of Student Initiatives for UGBC before becoming vice president.
