Faith in the finished works of Jesus Christ is very important. We must believe that God has done everything we will ever need for Him to do on earth. Christ is the focal point of our faith. Spiritual people regularly feed on the Word of God. 4. Spiritual people saturate themselves in the Word and in the love of God. Our main job is to preach and teach the Word of God. The gifts we have are to build on another up. Speaking in tongues while praying is a grace gift from God, but many people are not using this gift as they should.  There are two guidelines to remember as we talk to God through prayer. When we pray according to the finished works of Jesus, we should not ask God to do something He has already done.  When we were born again, we were already healed, delivered, prospered, and forgiven.  What we should pray for is wisdom, enlightenment, and revelation in the power and knowledge of Christ. It is the Spirit Who guides us when we speak in tongues, which is an effective tool in shutting down and disabling the devil. Also, God has given us authority over evil, but this authority will not work unless we use it. We must remember that when Jesus came, He was anointed by God, and as Believers, we have that same anointing. The cross made grace available to everyone, but whether or not we have God’s spiritual gifts depends on our response to this grace.
