In order to have a belief system based on the Word of God, you have to hear and hear the Word of God. If your information is wrong, your outlook in life will be wrong. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit, following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). Philosophy: any personal belief about how to live or how to deal with a situation. 1. Is your belief system before the cross or after the cross. Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. 1 John1:6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
