Before fancy condominiums became a norm, Kuala Lumpur started out with sophisticated but modest apartments and flats for its residents. Buildings like Suleiman Court, Selangor Mansion, Malayan Mansion, Razak Mansion and Pekeliling Flats were the mainstay then, and while their lustre may have long gone, their legacy and impact still remain.
