Earth-2.net Presents...

It's been a long time, but the Commonwealth Crew returns with a brand new Dread Reel-ief. Well, it's not brand new, as you can probably tell with our conversation about the yet-to-be-released Iron Man 3. But, I digress! This time, the live action manga adaptation of Death Note gets a heavy review about the silliness of having a death god as a comedic sidekick, but also the moral implications of vigilanteism. This one is all over the place. Enjoy. Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213. Follow @dreadmedia and @MuseumWalkerIan on Twitter. Join the Facebook group!

Get your revenge on this week as the Dread Media crew takes on a double feature of revenge flicks. First though, Desmond runs down his Top 5 favorite revenge stories (featuring all different media). Then Duane and Desmond talk about recent mumblecore revenge film Blue Ruin. Then, as prescribed by Al from Halifax (thanks, Al) Desmond and Darryll get nasty with the Ozsploitation revenge thriller The Horseman. Play these loud to take on your annoying neighbors in a little bit of audio revenger: "Revenge" by Mindless Self Indulgence, "Drifter" by Iron Maiden, "Vengeance Will Be Mine" by Skeletonwitch, and "Buenas Tardes, Amigo" by Ween. Six years later, Integra Hellsing is still the greatest badass of all time, and Seras Victoria still wields gigantic weaponry. It's Kellen Scrivens and James Trenchard continuing the Halloween tradition with Hellsing Ultimate OVA volume six.

Cover-dated November 1939, Marvel Comics #1 changed the world. With the debuts of The Human Torch and Namor, comic books, radio, television, and movies would never be the same. Continuing their yearly look at the kids shows that shaped them, Kellen Scrivens and Will Ackerman celebrate the 20th anniversary of Gargoyles. Also: crazy theories, mind-blowing revelations, a public service announcement, a connection to another Earth-2.net podcast, and a much smaller retrospective hidden inside. We might not be defenders of the night, but we are fans of Gargoyles. Please visit http://www.patreon.com/earth_2.

Hannah and Will are three quarters (or so) of the way through Dollhouse, and it's finally starting to get good! Whose first episode are they particularly impressed with? Who, despite being a massive fuckbag, do they actually feel sorry for? And how creepy does this show get if you really think about it? Join The Heroes as they cover "Echoes," "Needs," and "A Spy in the House of Love" to find out!

Happy Halloween, Dreadites! Celebrate with us in style with another massive episode. After Desmond's Top 5 Halloween traditions, friend of the show Greg Lamberson stops by as usual this time of year to give us the rundown on the projects he's recently had released, as well as those that are upcoming, including: Frenzy Wolves, Creepers, Human Monsters, and even a scoop at what his next film project might be. Greg even interviews Desmond for a little bit about his experience with The Julian Year. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. takes a look at the underrated classic Pumpkinhead. Then Desmond and Darryll deliver a drunken review of Halloween III: Season of the Witch. It's worth a listen. There's also music: "Halloween" by The Misfits, "Slime City Creep" by Gore Obsessed, "Pumpkin Head" by The Misfits, "All Hell" by Samhain, and "Man of the Year" by Alice Cooper. When The Enterprise stumbles upon the SS Botany Bay, Khan Noonien Singh and his fellow superhumans are awoken, leading to a battle of wits and fists between Khan and Captain Kirk ("Space Seed"). Then, on the planet of Eminiar VII, Kirk and his entire crew find themselves casualties of a new kind of war ("A Taste of Armageddon"). There's also Bigger on the Inside news, and the guys cheering the awesomeness of Dr. McCoy, Scotty, Uhura, and Ram Man. Please pardon the slight echo of Mike's line.
