Earth-2.net Presents...

In the first of a 52-part series, Kellen Scrivens and Tom Hemmings review Week 1 of 1997 in the WWF. This episode features the debut of Shotgun Saturday Night from New York's Mirage Nightclub, along with coverage of Superstars and Monday Night Raw.

This month, your faithful hosts tackle their biggest challenge of the year as they review the "film" adaptation of the "book" Twilight. It's so bad that James and Damien could not do it on their own, as they're joined by Big Damn Heroes host and expert on the subject of being a female: Hannah Krueger. Together, the three of them try to figure out just exactly what the hell everyone likes about Bella, the effectiveness of staring as a mating ritual, and the rule infractions of Thunder Baseball. So You Want to Be a Voice Actor, an Ai-Kon 2014 panel.

Despite some ironic sleepiness from one of the hosts, Hey, Gurlfriend is back with a look at the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty, as well as its many versions. This includes its multiple written forms, an animated film, and an in-depth review of the most recent adaptation: Maleficent. Also, there are many incorrect words, discussions of fairy tale princes needing to accept that no means no, and a look ahead to future segments that Disney is forcing upon the hosts. Come home from Vietnam with Dread Media this week as we celebrate two films where someone "died" in war before coming home. First up, Desmond and Darryll review the exploitation classic Rolling Thunder. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. delivers a Stay Scary on Bob Clark's Deathdream. Of course, there's songs: "War Eternal" by Archenemy, "Battles and Brotherhood" by 3 Inches of Blood, "Holiday in Cambodia" by Dead Kennedys, and "Coming Home" by Avenged Sevenfold. A mad scientist wants to prolong human life through robotics ("What Are Little Girls Made Of?"), and centuries-old children have it in for Kirk, Spock, and Dr. McCoy ("Miri"). Other topics of discussion: Batgirl's new costume, racism as a plot point, and Mike's YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBp_qFBdVhY). Please visit our Patreon page at patreon.com/edge.

Hey, an Actor! steps up to pay tribute to a recently deceased acting legend within Britain: Mr. Bob Hoskins. Whilst The Brothers Wilson specifically avoid denigrating their subject, their reviews of The Long Good Friday, Mrs. Henderson Presents, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit highlight both their high- and lowbrow aesthetics. Your hosts try to shoehorn in a particular soundtrack wherever possible, as well as reveling in an euphemism coined in their part of the world to describe female organs. Also, stay tuned to the very end of the podcast if you've ever wanted to hear two men weep with laughter over actor David Tomlinson.

It's episode 73, and that motherfucker is back again. We have what Will and Hannah consider to be possibly one of the best episodes in a Whedon series, the misuse of a sonic screwdriver, and one of the more useless characters finally getting hit with the plot stick. You also learn way more than you ever wanted to about Hannah and Will! Join them as they cover "Out of Gas," "Ariel," and "War Stories."

Pump Up the Volume perfectly captures the teenage angst of Generation X, at least, according to Shana and Mike. Also, someone reveals a their crush on Samantha Mathis, and another movie is added to the schedule. Please visit our Patreon page at http://www.patreon.com/forbetterorworse.

Dave and Ian continue the summer of The Middleman. In "The Cursed Tuba Contingency," Wendy and The Middleman must recover a cursed tuba from an immortal survivor of The Titanic. In "The Ectoplasmic Panhellenic Investigation," a haunting of a sorority house leads to The Middleman having his body possessed by a nascent mad scientist. And in "The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown," a robbery with a familiar MO leads to the revival of a Middleman from the 60s who struggles to coexist with his modern counterpart. They also discuss what Ian's smut threshold is, and Dave explains the phenomena of chap-hop.
