Earth-2.net Presents...

It started out as a Point Five about directors of the 1980s and 90s retiring from film, and quickly spun out of control as Derrick and Tom discussed Pacific Rim, Man of Steel, why Hannibal is superior to The Following, and why people are stupid for buying Jordans? Join the Boys Outta Brooklyn for this hour-long, freeform discussion. You know cable is the way to go, so get to clicking (and don't forget to follow us on Twitter at @BITDShow)!

Hola, bambinos! This week Dread Media takes a look at a very specific theme: Spanish-speaking horror films that take place in orphanages! We only have two films, but they're both excellent. First up, Desmond and Duane take an adoring look at Guillermo del Toro's passion-piece The Devil's Backbone. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. gives us a Stay Scary featuring a film by del Toro protege, JA Bayona: The Orphanage. There's some songs, too: "Mexican" by Helloween, "Body and Blood" by Ghost BC, "Children's Music" by ASG, and "Murder Ballad" by Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. Since it's been so long between recordings, this episode Damien and Desmond spend the whole time catching up. Topics include bad celebrity impersonations, guitar strings, music-based video games, metal album appearances, and the sobering reality of raves that Hollywood doesn't want you to know about. There is also an epic-length, four-part tangent that devolves into perhaps history's greatest recorded conversation about Bootsy Collins. And what exactly strikes Damien speechless and causes Desmond to apologize? You'll have to listen. Oh yeah! The guys also review the Nine Inch Nails double concept record The Fragile. It's all Angel all the time now on Big Damn Heroes! Will and Hannah kick off the fifth season of Angel this episode, and there's a few things they notice right away. Like how much darker Angel appears to be getting. And that the show has written a major loophole into one of its character's powers. And that we have Spike again? Join The Heroes for "Conviction," "Just Rewards," "Unleashed," and "Hell Bound." Oh, and lots of lawyer puns.

Ian and Dave begin their second show: Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. In "Door," self-described normal, boring man Richard Mayhew rescues a girl called Door from assassins. This act leads him to discover the strange, hidden world of London Below. In "Knightsbridge," Richard attempts to find Door in London Below while Door and The Marquis de Carabas search for evidence that will lead them to those responsible for the murders of Door's family. Statistician Ian returns, they briefly discuss the US Ultravilolet pilot, and Ian has to confess more things he hasn't seen.

Faster than you can say "Zany Bob Haney," Dan and Mike return with another installment of Earth-2-in-1. This time around, their attention is on Marvel Two-in-One #2 and The Brave and the Bold #111.

Let's face it: when a murder happens, the police look at the victim's loved ones as suspects because a sad fact of life is that the ones that love us are the ones that kill us. This week, we explore that when Desmond and Duane look at the criminally underrated Stepfather. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. reviews the sequel, Stepfather II. Then Desmond gets modern as he takes a look at Scorned. Spurned lover songs right here: "Who's Your Daddy" by Lordi, "Come to Daddy" by The Dillinger Escape Plane w/ Mike Patton, "Never Less than Perfect" by Blutronia, "Creep" by The Afghan Whigs and "Killed by Love" by Alice Cooper. Mike joins Dan for their first joint Bigger on the Inside Special. In this installment, the guys take a look at the eight-issue comic book series Star Trek: The Next Generation / Doctor Who - Assimilation2. Remember to listen to the entire show, all the way to the very last second.

Fresh on the heels of the January edition comes the February Previews episode!

In this episode of Animezing Podcast, Kellen and James gush about Tabitha St. Germain's performance as Flay Allster, and discuss the proper ways to recap the previous events of the series as they review the next five episodes of Gundam SEED: "The Awakening Sword," "Flay's Decision," "Stars Falling in Space," "Within Endless Time," and "The Respective Solitudes."
