Earth-2.net Presents...

After weeks and weeks of mediocre and horrible stories, Dan and Mike are finally treated to the two-part story Human Nature / The Family of Blood and then the incomparable Blink. Pardon Mike's sniffles, and mind The Snowmen spoilers between 7:40 and 18:10.

Mike kicks off 2013 by reading through the January Previews catalog!

Throw down the chains of oppression! Behold a world where monsters exist! Check out our new-ish sponsor! This week's Dread Media sees Darryll returning to take part in a Roadkill Review of Quentin Tarantino's latest Blaxploitation Western epic: Django Unchained! Then, Devil Dinosaur Jr. can't quite shake his addiction to anthology films as his latest Stay Scary is a review of Monster Club. Want some songs to help you out on your journey? Well, here you go: "Django" by Luis Bacalov and Rocky Roberts, "Freedom" by Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boynton, "Monsters Rule OK" by The Viewers, and "An Industry of Murder" by Graveyard. As Shana and Mike remake The American President, something odd happens. Despite their divergent plots, things come together to form something bigger.

After giving away copies of Wayne Simmons' audiobook version of Fever, Desmond sits down with Duane to talk about the influential horror show that has been off the air for five years: Showtime's Masters of Horror. What are the best episodes? How about the worst? Which episode in particular was close-but-no-cigar to being great? Put on your raccoon-pelt coat, take a hold of your small intestines, and cover up your symbiotic soul orifices while listening to the Masters of Horror Special! Some rocking tunes for your New Years enjoyment: "Small Silhouette" by Mudvayne, "Burnin' For You" by Iced Earth, "Ice Cream Killer" by Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, "I'm Gonna Kill That Woman" by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, and "Enjoy the Silence" by It Dies Today. Dan and Mike bring the Earth-2.net: The Show 2012 Advent Calendar to a close with a review of The Star Wars Holiday Special!

Today you'll be treated to a classic rendition of A Christmas Carol, as performed by Lionel Barrymore and narrated by Orson Welles. Before that, however, Preston Nelson reads 'Twas the Site Before Christmas, a poem written by Will Ackerman.

In this, the last BITD episode of 2012, The Guys Outta Brooklyn revisit The Summer (now Winter) of Speed to examine a trio of films where the cars are secondary to psychological introspection and angst! Join Tom and Derrick as they express their love of Two-Lane Blacktop! Enjoy Derrick's reminiscences about seeing Vanishing Point in the theaters! Laugh as Tom tries to cover up how he misremembered Zabriskie Point! And decide for yourself whether "Baby It's Cold Outside" is a charming seduction or date rape! If you like pina coladas, you best get to clicking!

For the fifth annual Dread Media Christmas celebration, it's a Silent Night, Deadly Night Special! First up, Desmond and Duane take a look at the first two films in the franchise, currently released by Anchor Bay on DVD. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. gets generous in not only reviewing Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!, but also Marvel Zombies Christmas Carol. Then Adam, Luke, and Jeff join Desmond to take in a viewing of the Blu-ray of Silent Night (the 2012 remake). Make sure you join the Facebook Group to enter to win one of three copies of audiobooks of Wayne Simmons' Fever. Have yourself a scary little Christmas with the following creepy carols: "Vigilante Christmas" by Kirby Krackle, "There Ain't No Sanity Clause" by The Damned, "Cold Blooded Christmas" by Jon Lajoie, "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie" by Black Flag, "Christmas Sucks" by Tom Waits and Peter Murphy, and "Silent Night, Deadly Night (acoustic)" by The Browns! The Earth-2.net Advent Calendar saunters forward with a holly jolly Hey, Gurlfriend as Will and Hannah discuss their top five Christmas movies. Hannah brings up a disturbing Christmas sweater, Will has a theory about a Christmas protagonist becoming one of this site's most reviled characters, and the hosts come to blows over one of the films on the list. Ladle up some eggnog into your moose-antler glass and take a listen.
