Earth-2.net Presents...

Desmond's sick, but that's not stopping him from presenting a podcast with a theme so unique, it has never before been seen in horror podcasting! First, Duane joins us to take a look at the Aaron "Jimmy Olsen" Ashmore vehicle, The Shrine. Then Jeff joins us for a discussion of the Shawn "Iceman" Ashmore vehicle, The Day. That's right, a show dedicated to Canadian acting duo, the Ashmore Twins! Music included: "Faith Alone" by Bad Religion, "Sacrifice" by Motorhead, "The Day" by Murder By Death, and "Parasitic Twins" by The Dillinger Escape Plan. It's day two of the Earth-2.net: The Show 2012 Advent Calendar, and today you'll hear This is My Best: The Plot to Overthrow Christmas, as written by Norman Corwin and starring Orson Welles.

In this episode, Derrick and Tom go out of their comfort zone to discuss the rather large world of documentaries. Join the Boys Outta Brooklyn as the talk about some of their favorite docs, examine the way the genre has transformed and become more entertaining that some fiction films, and celebrate some of the best documentarians out there! Plus, lots of talk about an election that has since passed, and a reference to a forthcoming episode that's already aired! You know, Troy Duffy thinks this show is unfair, so get to clicking!

New to Earth-2.net: The Show, Dan and Wendee discuss the 1959 short story "Flowers for Algernon" in this, the first episode of Books Without Pictures! Also, Mike make a major announcement about Earth-2.net: The Show, and begins paying back those who donated to the Shameless Pledge Drive.

In "There's No Way I'll Ever Regret It," Sayaka gets her butt kicked by Kyoko, the new girl in town. In "This Just Can't Be Right," Homura appears to get through to her just a little bit. "Can You Face Your True Feelings?" sees Kyoko expressing and articulating to Sayaka why she feels how she does. And "I Was Stupid, So Stupid" shows Kyoko being there for Sayaka in her moment of need. Aside from this classic tale of the misunderstood bully, some really fucked up shit occurs in these four episodes. Par for the course in Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

Today, Mike presents two Read-Along Adventures adapting cult classics from the 1980s: The Dark Crystal and The Black Cauldron!

Woody Allen's Hannah and Her Sisters is widely considered a cinematic classic, but Shana and Mike find there aren't enough of the sisters, especially Hannah, and too much Woody Allen. And, in an effort to better understand Allen's motivations, Shana digs into 19th century Russian theater.

Greg Lamberson is back on Dread Media! Together, he and Desmond talk about Greg's latest installment in the Jake Helman Files, Tortured Spirits, The Julian Year TREEBook, his latest film work, and even some classic comics! Then, as if that wasn't enough, Devil Dinosaur Jr. works out some of his issues in the latest Stay Scary while covering Chillers. Tunes included: "Been Away Too Long" by Soundgarden, "My Tortured Spirit" by Probot with Eric Wagner of Trouble, "My Problem" by The Hanson Brothers, and "Cold Turkey" by Cheap Trick. In November's Hey, Gurlfriend, Hannah and Will cover season two of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! What surprising references does the show contain? What do Will and Hannah like most about this season? And does a sing-a-long happen? Come on down, everypony!
