Earth-2.net Presents...

The Doctor faces Sutekh, the most powerful, evil alien to have ever lived ("Pyramids of Mars"). Then he must stop an alien race from taking control of the planet ("The Android Invasion"). If the last plot sounds a little familiar (RE: generic), well, there's a reason for that.

Former Marvel Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras now has the same title at DC Comics, and the company has closed the door on the Wildstorm Universe. Des and Mike speculate as to what these changes will mean for DC, then they discuss some of their favorite Wildstorm comics books.

Earth-2.net's best video game podcast returns this week with an hour of gaming goodness for you to chew on. Alien warfare and fishing are the main themes of this episode, as the guys try to distract themselves from the fact that StarTropics is still really, really hard. Other distractions include giant sexy hands, Tom Hanks movies, and the Harlem Globetrotters.

Though they've finished discussing the TV series, James and Mike must still cover Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo before moving on. What do they think of this movie, the foe, the many anime references, the love story, and Grant Morrison? Wait, Grant Morrison?

In this revenge-themed episode of Dread Media, Desmond and Darryll take in a double-feature of films that sit on the opposite ends of the spectrum. First up, Robert Forster and Fred Williamson take back the streets in Vigilante, then Gary Oldman and Paddy Considine take back the Spanish countryside in The Backwoods. Mirth, mayhem, and tunes ensue: "New York's Alright (If You Like Saxophones)" by Fear, "Stand Your Ground" by Rancid, "Hunting Humans" by The Misfits, and "Revenge is a Vulture" by 3 Inches of Blood. As they discuss five comics books (The Darkness: Four Horsemen #1, Guarding the Globe #1, Namor: The First Mutant #1, PunisherMax: Happy Ending, and X-Men: Curse of the Mutants - Storm & Gambit), Mike rants about the portrayal of massage parlors, and Preston has something to say about two mutants.

In the first of our special Halloween episodes for 2010, covering Phantom Stragner #2, the Phantom Stranger and Doc Thirteen try to figure out what's behind a man's nine-lives claim, but don't bother questioning why a suburban family has a collection of sinister Amerind artifacts. Plus, the horror of Evil Larry Fine! Flashback Time! And even listener mail!

In their 25th episode, Desmond and Megan celebrate the coming of October with a vampire-themed episode. First up, Desmond doesn't like Twilight but he twies really hard. It's not very good, but it's soooooo romantic! Also, what does Megan think of Blade? The answer might shock you! What are the racial implications of the comic book vampire movie, and which Twilight cast member would fare the worst in prison. The answers to all this and more in this sucky episode!
