Earth-2.net Presents...

This week, Dan and Mike discuss books written by Paul Dini and Mark Waid. Those being Batman: Streets of Gotham - Leviathan and Irredeemable, volume one, respectively. What could possibly go wrong?

Using The Doctor's head, a mad scientist attempts to resurrect a long-dead Time Lord ("The Brain of Morbius"). Then an evil millionaire conspires to steal a world-threatening alien plant ("The Seeds of Doom"). Dan and Mike also comment on the level of violence in recent stories, and by the end of the show Mike is also oddly prophetic (and embarrassed).

Mere days after posting his schedule for the rest of the year on the Earth-2.net forums, Kellen has had to change it around already. So today James and Kellen review the bro-mantic mecha masterpiece Gurren Lagann. And to make up for the schedule shuffle, they decided to bring in a familiar face. Just who in the hell do you think it is?

In honor of The Walking Dead on AMC, Megan joins Desmond for a discussion of the first episode and the rest of this episode is dedicated to zombies. Desmond reviews two indie features: Deadlands 2: Trapped and Dead Eyes Open. There's also a Dying in the Gutters segment on two Dylan Dog graphic novels. Zombie beats included: "Zombie Crush" by Groovie Ghoulies, "Dead Man Walking" by Raging Speedhorn, "At The Movies" by Bad Brains, "Dead Eyes Opened" by Severed Heads, "I Wanna Be Your Dog" by The Stooges, and "My Body's a Zombie for You" by Dead Man's Bones. Plus, what is Desmond reading, and just what is entailed in the beginning of his film career? Pull up a chair, grab a bowl of brains, and enjoy! Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213. Just in time for Halloween, Tom examines Phantom Stranger #3, where the world's greatest proto-emo psychic detective and Douche of the Year candidate, Doctor Thirteen, tries to save a carnival owner from being destroyed by a ghostly fortune-teller who looks like a loan officer.

As Earth-2.net: The Show celebrates its fifth anniversary, a chapter comes to a close. For one last time, the gang dives headfirst into the abyss that is the Saw franchise. Join us on this glorious day as we spend over three hours bidding farewell to a self-righteous killer, gracious victims, glaring plot holes, nonstop flashbacks, illogical retcons, and the rabid fanbase that would rather see another series of gritty warehouses than anything resembling common sense.

It's the last episode before the big fifth anniversary special, and it features two Green Hornet radio dramas: Torpedo on Wheels and Sabotage Finds a Name!

Aang makes his first trip to the Spirit World in the first part of The Winter Solstice two-parter "The Spirit World." In the second part, "Avatar Roku," Aang connects to his past self. Finally, in "The Waterbending Scroll," Katarra steals a Waterbending Scroll from a group of pirates. Also, Kellen and Steph's shipping war continues.

The Banana Conspiracy.

The controversial Teen Titans era of World's Finest Podcast has come to a close, but not before James and Mike discuss some of their favorite (and least favorite) moments and characters. And, as always with these retrospective episodes, the guys reevaluate a few episodes, and are treated to a clip montage by King Moddie I... err, Ian Wilson.
