Earth-2.net Presents...

In this issue, our man Hal goes to a subatomic world to fix a problem he caused, and tells - grumble, mutter - Pieface the origins of his oath. And the scary thing is, this isn't the worst thing Tom Kalmaku is called in Green Lantern #10.

As characters become more and more popular, it only makes sense for publishers to feature them in more and more comic books. However, sometimes a character can become too popular and used too much. In this episode of Earth-2.net: The Show, Des and Mike discuss those characters that are overexposed!

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick starts the countdown to 100 with an interview with Severin Films head, legendary genre film documentarian and writer / director David Gregory. Then Darryll and Desmond sit down to look at David's first feature film, Plague Town. Feedback aplenty, and tunes to keep you up at night. Including: "There is a Town" by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, "Fall Children" by AFI and "I'm Eighteen" by Bette. Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213.

As the third season of Doctor Who comes to a close, the TARDIS crew frees an enslaved civilization ("The Savages"), then they stop a supercomputer from destroying mankind ("The War Machines"). And when the dust settles, we're left with an entirely new set of companions. As Steven and Dodo make their exits, Polly and Ben find themselves unwillingly whisked away by The Doctor.

Today you're going to hear two more Fisher-Price storybooks: The Justice League of America: The Lunar Invaders and Wonder Woman: Cheetah on the Prowl.

First, a listener owns Mike, then James and Mike cover the last five episodes of The Zeta Project: "On the Wire," "Cabin Pressure," "The River Rising," "The Hologram Man" and "The Wrong Morph." (Pardon the slight audio troubles near the end of the program.)

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond starts the show with even more announcements and a cry for help before Darryll and a special guest reviewer steal the show with a discussion of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Then, it's the debut of Dying in the Gutters, a new horror comics segment. And what better to start with than the recent DC Comics Classics Library collection called The Roots of the Swamp Thing. It's another full show with lots of feedback and a few laughs to be had. Tunes included: "Vampire Hunters" by Wojciech Kilar, "Dracula" by Iced Earth, "Swamp Thing" by The Damned and "School's Out" by Gwar. Whoa! Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213.

In Tales of Suspense #70, the continuation of the Greymoor Castle story, the mad scientist becomes a wuss, the hulking assistant is replaced by a Nazi commandant named Uberhart (Superheart?), and Cap looks like he has to poop while fighting medieval armored Nazis. Plus, Jack Kirby is replaced by George Tuska, which causes the Baby Jesus to cry. Okay, I made that last part up.

After some show announcements, Desmond Reddick kicks off a low-key episode with a discussion on 2001's Joy Ride with Darryll. Then, Desmond reviews what is certainly the best horror novel in recent years, Pressure by Jeff Strand. Tunes included: "Truckloads of Nothin'" by The Hellacopters, "Ride With Us" by Turbonegro, "Pressure Drop" by Toots & The Maytals and "The Burning" by Ghoultown. Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213.

First, the trio must play a series of perilous games to escape a crazy, mixed-up world ("The Celestial Toymaker"). Following that, they land in the American Old West and find themselves caught between the feuding Earps and Clantons ("The Gunfighters").
