Earth-2.net Presents...

This time around Dan and Mike discuss British superheroes smashing Ditko-esque demons (Captain Britain and MI13: Hell Comes to Birmingham), an alternate reality where the nights are hot and the dames are hotter (X-Men Noir) and a charming mass murderer who needs to borrow your face (Terror, Inc.).

In this episode of Dread Media, things go rather smoothly for an episode with a curse theme. Desmond and Darryll bring back the Roadkill Review for Sam Raimi's return to horror, Drag Me To Hell. Then Desmond goes solo on the indie B-movie Blood Scarab, and the Japanese head-scratcher Battle Heater. Most importantly, your gracious host goes through tons of feedback and begins the podcast with a tale of a donut. Tunes included: "See You in Hell" by Monster Magnet, "Living Hell" by The Misfits, "Curse of the Pharaohs" by Mercyful Fate, "Day the Earth Caught Fire" by Balzac and "Im-Ho-Tep (Pharaoh's Curse)" by Iced Earth. In Green Lantern #9, Sinestro makes a bid to destroy the Guardians as we're deluged with wacky Lanterns from all planets, and Sue Williams shows us why she may very well be the single most misguided woman in the DC Universe. (The fact that she looks to Lois Lane for romantic advice might be an indicator.)

Desmond made a bit of a mistake during Dread Media 92, and he wanted to correct it before the next episode.

In this week's horror-comedy episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick sits down with Darryll to check out one of the funniest films of all time: Young Frankenstein. Then Desmond goes solo on two zom-coms, Tokyo Zombie and RetarDEAD, before checking out a couple of comics: Hotwire: Requiem for the Dead #3 and Poe #1. The following songs will be heard before you see them coming: "He's Loose" from the original cast recording of Young Frankenstein: The Musical, "Puttin' On the Ritz" by Gene Wilder and Peter Boyle, "I Walked with a Zombie" by Roky Erickson & The Aliens, "RetarDEAD" by Lisa Rein and Kurt Kendall, "Supernaturally" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and "Horror Films" by Bill Hicks. Enjoy this Abby Normal episode of Dread Media! Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213.

The Doctor and Steven find themselves in the middle of a religious purging, one they cannot stop no matter how much they long to ("The Massacre"). And after picking up a new companion named Dodo, the trio lands on a spaceship containing the last survivors of the human race ("The Ark").

In Batman & Robin: The Case of the Laughing Sphinx and Superman: From Krypton to Metropolis, two Fisher-Price storybooks, you'll hear the amazing origins of Robin and Superman!

As James and Mike review the next batch of episodes from The Zeta Project ("Ro's Reunion," "Kid Genius," "Absolute Zero," "Wired" and "Resume Mission"), they give both the highest and lowest scores for the show thus far.

In this comedy-horror themed episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick interviews the comedy-horror author Jeff Strand, and then goes on to review his comedy-horror novel Benjamin's Parasite. Then, Darryll and Des sit down to review the romantic comedy-horror film Shaun of the Dead before checking out some feedback on listeners' favorite comedy-horrors. Plus, listen to these comedy-horror tracks: "Funny" by Scars on Broadway, "Parasite" by KISS, "Mister Mental" by Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, "White Lines (Don't Do It)" by Grandmaster Flash, and "Death Bed" by Patton Oswalt. Comedy-horror. Send feedback to: [email protected], or 206.203.1213.

In this episode, a mad scientist with a steel hand, his guilty sister, and some nameless goof plan to shrink Captain America down to size. Literally. Believe it or not, Tales of Suspense #69 is pretty good.
