Earth-2.net Presents...

On paper, Teen Wolf is a great concept: a teenage werewolf who accidentally outs himself seeks acceptance from his friends. In execution, however, things fall apart, and it's up to Jenny and Mike to make sense out of it.

Recently comic book writer Robert Kirkman made some controversial statements regarding corporate- versus self-publishing, and Des and Mike are here to chime in.

A young woman with a troubled past, a brand new detective and a brainy girl all catch Batman's ire as he investigates Gotham's newest vigilante in Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman.

This week Des and Mike talk about a Silver Age tribute book (The Age of the Sentry #1), the perfect blending of sex and action (Incredible Hercules #121), the rise of a former Avenger (Iron Man: Director of SHIELD #33), terrible urban stereotypes (Marvel Adventures The Avengers #28) and characters you've never heard of before (Mighty Avengers #18).

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick gets back to basics with a little chitchat before reviewing the sci-fi Eurosleaze epic Beast in Space, and the Mexican supernatural horror film La Resurreccion de Amanda Morales. He then moves along to Alice Cooper's new record, Along Came a Spider, and a brand new Marvel Comics adaptation of Stephen King's plague epic The Stand: Captain Trips #1. We will talk about hamsters and Henry before giving away our big contest prize. Tunes include: "The Beast and the Harlot" by Avenged Sevenfold, "Resurrection" by Apocalyptica, "Prologue (I Know Where You Live)" and "The One That Got Away" by Alice Cooper, "Gospels for the Sick" by Scum and "Monsters" by Electric President. Though it might have reshaped how the world saw Batman, and led directly to the creation of Batman: The Animated Series, Tim Burton's Batman (1989) is a seriously flawed film with bland characters, numerous plot holes and a Batman who has no qualms about killing. Let the ranting begin!

Take the rather crazy director of Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemy and get him hooked on The Blues Brothers. The end result is the outrageous and hilarious anime musical comedy Nerima Daikon Brothers.

Last week we teased it, and now it's here! The newest segment of Earth-2.net: The Show is Waiting for the Trade, hosted by Dan Toland and Michael David Sims. In this first installment, the guys speak about Abyss, volume one; Wolverine: Origins, volume five - Deadpool; and Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters.

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick sits down and talks horror comics, movies and punk rock with writer Steve Niles. Then he reviews Steve's upcoming comic City of Dust, and Michael David Sims joins him to review Dead of Night Featuring Devil-Slayer from Brian Keene and Marvel Comics. You have one more week to enter the Jigsaw Man / Apparatus Revolution / Devil's Due contest, and a winner will be decided next week. Tunes include: "Thog," "Killing Direction" and "Smoking Hole" by Gray Matter, as well as "Black Heart, Blue Scars" by Sutter Kane.

First the duo discusses Jenny's writing, then they read through the September Previews.
