Earth-2.net Presents...

As always, Des and Mike reviewed five comic books this week: Fantastic Four: True Story #1, Haunt of Horror: Lovecraft #2, newuniversal: 1959, Skaar: Son of Hulk #2 and X-Men: Odd Men Out. While two of them are worth your time, three are true stinkers!

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick interviews acclaimed horror artist Alex McVey. Then he goes on to cover every other field in the horror genre by reviewing 80s horror comedy Doom Asylum, Mark Morris' novel The Deluge, the newest episode of NBC's Fear Itself called "Community" before moving to the following releases from Warren Ellis and Avatar Press comics: Gravel #2 and Blackgas 2 #1-3. Tunes include: "Promise Me" by Straight Line Stitch, "Asylum" by Naked City, "Floods" by Pantera, "Prisoners of Today" by Billy Talent and "Martin (live)" by Soft Cell. First up, Desmond Reddick interviews Dr. E. Paul Zehr, author of Becoming Batman: The Possibility of a Superhero. Then Ian Wilson chimes in with his review of Wanted.

With a little help from Mr. Mxyzptlk, Bizarro returns to Earth to confront Superman in "Little Big Head Man." Batman fights genetically altered bugs and farm animals in the notoriously bad episode "Critters." In "Absolute Power" Superman learns that Jax-Ur and Mala have escaped the Phantom Zone, and are now ruling a distant planet. Catwoman runs afoul of a cat-obsessed cult in "Cult of the Cat." And "In Brightest Day..." sees the debut of Green Lantern!

After taking a few weeks off, Des and Mike are back to review five comics books: The Immortal Iron Fist #17, Marvel Adventures Super Heroes #1, Uncanny X-Men #500, Wolverine: First Class #5 and X-Men: Legacy #214.

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick has a little help from his friends: Davinder comes to the pub to review Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Darryl stays up late to review The Dark Knight and Mikel O.D. sends in a review of French horror film Sheitan. Desmond also reviews the three issue prequel miniseries George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead: The Beginning and its companion piece, George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead: Just a Girl from Avatar Press. All this and feedback, tunes and more jibba jabba! Tunes include: "Rose of the Devil's Garden" by Tiger Army, "The Goddamn Batman" by Mary Shelley Overdrive, "The Night of the Living Dead" by Lordi, "House of Horrors" by Insane Clown Posse, "That Night" by Atmosphere and "Gravel Shifts" by When They All Fell.
