Earth-2.net Presents...

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick interviews Michael Alan Nelson, writer of BOOM! Studios comic Fall of Cthulhu. Tunes include: "Shoggoths Away" by The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, "How the Gods Kill" by Danzig, "Cthulhu" by Zombeast and "Sleeping Giant" by Mastodon. Jenny and Mike might be on vacation, but that doesn't mean they've left you empty-handed. Before heading off to celebrate Mike's 30th birthday, they sat down to record their thoughts about the haunting independent film Right at Your Door.

James and Mike continue the discussion of Superman: The Animated Series by examining five more episodes: "Fun and Games," "A Little Piece of Home," "Feeding Time," "The Way of All Flesh" and "Stolen Memories." All that, plus a slew of listener feedback!

Cable and Deadpool #50, Mighty Avengers #9, Ultimate Human #2, Ultimate X-Men #91 and Wolverine: Origins #22 are the five comic books reviewed this week by Des and Mike. One of these books splits the guys right down the middle. Can you guess which one?

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick interviews writer, director and star of the vampire comedy Revamped, Jeff Rector. It's February Previews time! Plus, Jenny and Mike answer a few e-mails, including one about slumping Amazing Spider-Man sales. Mike also plays a very amusing review recorded by Rob Briscoe from the Uncanny X-Cast.

This week Des and Mike took a look at Fantastic Four #554 (the first of 16 issues by Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch), Fantastic Four: The Lost Adventure (a hidden "gem" by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and friends), Ghost Rider #20 (in which Jason Aaron and Roland Boschi began their run), Marvel Adventures Hulk #8 (starring the Defenders) and Punisher: Force of Nature (wherein the Punisher stalks three men lost at sea).

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick steps on broken branches and pushes brush out of his face while the wind stirs up terror. He also holds back his unexplainable nausea to review Forest Primeval and Hell's Ground (Zibahkhana). Tunes include: "Doctor Finkelstein / In the Forest" by Danny Elfman (The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack), "Forest" by System of a Down and "Tree of Woe" by Basil Poledouris (Conan the Barbarian score).

At last, the time has come for James and Mike to discuss Superman: The Animated Series! First up, the three-part origin story "The Last Son of Krypton."

Of the five comics Des and Mike reviewed this week -- Clandestine #1, Lords of Avalon: Sword of Darkness #1, Marvel Illustrated: Moby Dick #1, The Twelve #2 and Uncanny X-Men #495 -- it's suggested that two be added to your pull list, and one is said to be a "modern classic in the making." Also, a Marvel Illustrated book finally impresses both men.
