Earth-2.net Presents...

Dim the lights, slather on some greasepaint and dust off your all-black wardrobe. To celebrate the 200th episode of Earth-2.net: The Show, Jenny and Mike sat down to discuss The Crow! First they explore the origins of the goth / punk icon by reviewing the James O'Barr comic book. Afterwards they set their sights on the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee. Also, the winner of the big, mysterious prize is finally announced!

Like a dummy, Superman lets two criminal Kryptonians out of the Phantom Zone ("Blasts from the Past"). He then has to stop a giant creature from feeding on all of the world's energy ("The Prometheon"). And then three DCAU mainstays are introduced: Livewire, The Flash and Bizarro ("Livewire," "Speed Demons" and "Identity Crisis," respectively).

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick interviews Andrew Migliore, president of Lurker Films. Des then reviews their fourth volume of Lovecraft-adapted short films, Pickman's Model. Andrew gives listeners of Dread Media a special offer, and Desmond bitches about Platinum Dunes a little. Tunes include: "In the Mouth of Madness Main Theme" by John Carpenter and Jim Lang, "The Art of Subconscious Illusion" by Avenged Sevenfold, "Release the Kracken" by Clutch and "Melt" by Monster Magnet. This isn't World's Finest Podcast and it isn't the Is It Wednesday Yet? segment, so why are both James Deaux and Desmond Reddick on Earth-2.net: The Show this week? That's because James and Mike review Justice League: The New Frontier, and then Des joins Mike to discuss Witchblade #116.

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick takes a look at the upcoming gay horror film Socket, and then the Belgian survivalist horror film Calvaire (The Ordeal). He also reluctantly returns to review the second issue of Dead of Night featuring Man-Thing. Tunes include: "Plug in Baby" by Muse, "Deliverance" by Dredger, "Sex is Violent" by Jane's Addiction featuring Diamanda Galas, "Fuck the World" by Turbonegro and "Lonesome Town" by Ricky Nelson. In this extra-sized episode, Jenny and Mike discuss their recent trip to Disney World. Highlights include a medical emergency aboard the plane, a lost child, an illness caused by freezing rain, a lackluster movie and a forty-niner. A forty-niner? Yeah, sort of. After that, Jenny and Mike go through the March Previews catalog, and Ian Wilson reviews two Will Smith movies: I Am Legend and Men in Black. Plus: an addition to Earth-2.net is announced!

Poor Superman. His life is never easy. In this batch of episodes, the intergalactic bounty hunter known as Lobo is hired to abduct Superman ("The Main Man"). Then Clark discovers that his high school sweetheart, Lana Lang, is now dating Lex Luthor ("My Girl"). Darkseid is supplying mob boss Bruno Manheim with advanced weaponry ("Tools of the Trade"). And someone has taken control of the Parasite's body ("Two's a Crowd").

A brief but important announcement about the Is It Wednesday Yet? segment.

In this episode of Dread Media, Desmond Reddick reviews two British films: The Living and the Dead, and Experiment. News, feedback and a new sponsor! Tunes include: "Curse of the Living" by Under a Nightmare, "Experiment in Terror" by Fantomas and the "Ginger Snaps Theme" by Michael Shields. Check out www.horror-mall.com.

And the Oscar goes to... oh, wrong award show. James and Mike are here to announce the winners of the Second Annual Earth-2.net Mainpage Awards!
