Hailing from South East London and currently residing in Tokyo DJ Operator has been to and mixing drum and bass since the late 90's. Three years ago, he with the help of Havishmash set up the Terraforming night, with the hope of bringing the sound of London DnB to the capital of Japan. Years later the event is still going strong and is always looking for new artists to bring to the event.

LQD Code

[Khabarovsk | Russian Far East]

LQD Code (Sergey Voropaev) is a professional musician from Khabarovsk, Far East, Russia. Before he started playing electronic music in 2005, he already played in a jazz orchestra and visited France, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Japan, China and other countries with his music.

In later years he fell in love with drum and bass and explored drumfunk, raggae jungle, jazzstep and house music while he spent time earning his Master’s degree in clarinet performance before returning his focus to the love of playing drum and bass.

Today LQD Code/Sergey is a DJ by night, a Jazz musician by day and he plays in local clubs, arranges and supports drum and bass events. LQD Code hosted a number of regular radio shows on stations such as www.16bit.fm and Different Drumz (UK). He favours smooth and soulful liquid and intelligent drum & bass.

Keshigomu

[Osaka | Japan]

Since listening to daft punk's "derezzed" as a junior high school student, Keshigomu has fostered a deep love for dance music. In 2013 she started her DJ career overseeing a new party "Movement". A year later, she joined the DJ crew "Sprout's Dub '94", a collection of DJ's born in the year 1994.

Since then she has joined a range of parties spinning anywhere from heavy neurofunk to smooth liquid Drum and Bass and has supported the likes of Brian Gee, Alvin Risk and Andy C. She has become a vital part of the Osaka drum n bass scene.

Sepungski

[Vladivostok | Russian Far East]

Sepungski is a Russian musician and a DJ. He developed his taste in music by constantly visiting local parties with world famous d'n'b artists thus he could follow current trends in music. He's a big lover of the dark atmosphere and hypnotic sounds. The main goal of Sepungski's sets and his own tracks is to make listeners to get into trance rather than cheer them up. But he doesn't forget about dance component of drum & bass with some positive vibes. Sepungski also makes ambient tracks, some of which were supported by the master of atmospheric sounding - Aural Imbalance and the owner of the Canadian label Stasis Recordings - Sanderson Dear. For the last 4 years he has been a participant of the annual rave event "Most rave" that takes place on the island 700 km away from Sepungski's hometown. Besides that he is a member of the local electronic musicians' project FLAT BEAT where his track "It All Went Down" was released. He always finds inspiration in films, music and live dj's sets mostly on the local stage.

TŁOC

TLOC began his journey into the underground dance scene in 2011. As a DJ and producer he specializes in his own brand of drum and bass, dubstep and trap. His passion for everything underground began while growing up with international influences from both Russia and Japan.

TLOC has worked alongside many of Japan's seasoned DJ talent and played at many of Tokyo's great venues including Womb, Club Asia and Lounge Neo.

He is known for his seamless blends and individual style that makes him stand out from the crowd in a city that is just that, a crowded place. With his unique background, love of the music he plays TLOC will continue to build on his success time after time.

Rasty

[Osaka | Japan]

Michael Leung aka Rasty was born in Christchurch, New Zealand. A city renowned for it’s deep drum ‘n bass culture. Now based in Osaka, Japan, together with fellow Kiwi Tim Fieldes aka Big Ted formed the Nightbirds crew with an aim to revive the Drum & Bass scene and breathe new life into the city.

Since starting, Nightbirds has brought through acts such as: Commix, The Upbeats, State of Mind, Om Unit, Swindle, Jonny Dub and Chimpo, with many more plans in the pipeline.

Rasty’s sound is deep and intellectual, drawing influences from the likes of Calibre, dBridge and Skeptical, but you can also hear influences of footwork, grime and hip hop through his close work with other DJs and crews within the city.

When it comes to his musical philosophy Rasty believes that ‘to have a heavy sound, you don’t necessarily need to play heavy tunes.’

He has become an integral part of the bass music scene in Osaka, hosting and playing at a range of parties across the city, from creating platforms to showcase local DJs, to supporting international artists.
