Jesus’s loving pursuit of his people is something we can’t get away from. At our lowest point, in our darkest hour, at our very worst — Jesus pursues us, but he loves us too much to simply leave us there.
For Easter we’re looking at a story of pursuit — the story of a little girl whom Jesus brought back from the dead. This story might not feel familiar to us, but when we take a closer look, we’ll discover that this story is our story — a story of Jesus meeting someone in the deepest pit and bringing them out and a story of new life when all hope was lost.
