  • Unsubscribe from Performance // Like & Subscribe Week 3

Every day, we’re counting on something to tell us we matter. For many of us, it’s performance—what we do, how we measure up, whether we’re getting it right. But what happens when what you’re counting on… fails? Paul’s words to the Galatians press right into that question. Because if your sense of worth depends on you, it will eventually collapse under the weight.

In Galatians 3, Paul is stunned that the Galatians would move away from the gospel after experiencing it so clearly. They heard about Christ crucified, they received the Spirit, and yet they drifted back into trying to prove themselves. Why? Because performance feels controllable—even when it’s crushing. But Scripture is clear: we are not justified by what we do, but by faith in what Jesus has done. Even Abraham was counted righteous not because he performed, but because he believed. The deeper issue isn’t behavior—it’s what we’re counting on to make us count.

This week, pay attention to where you feel the need to prove yourself. Where are you trying to earn what God has already given? Instead of striving, practice trusting. Let that be the place where you walk with Jesus. Because of Jesus, you are completely forgiven and fully pleasing to God—you don’t have to perform to make yourself count.

Most of us don’t wake up trying to replace the gospel, but we do it anyway. We measure ourselves, compare ourselves, and quietly ask, Am I enough? And when the answer feels uncertain, we either try to prove it or protect it. But the gospel offers something entirely different: a settled identity that doesn’t rise and fall with performance or approval. In Galatians 2, Paul exposes how easy it is to drift from grace into performance. Not by rejecting Jesus, but by subtly adding to Him. The issue isn’t whether we obey God, it’s whether we believe our obedience is what makes us accepted by God. Justification reminds us that our standing with God is not achieved, but declared, rooted entirely in what Jesus has already done. This week, pay attention to the moments where you feel pressure to prove yourself or fear losing approval. Instead of performing, pause and remind yourself what is already true in Christ. Let your identity shape your actions, not the other way around.Because of Jesus, your acceptance is not something you earn, it’s something you receive and live from.

  • Start Living From the Ending // Easter Sunday

This Easter Sunday we reflected on how the empty tomb is not just a moment in history, but a present reality that changes everything about how we live today. Through the message, we were reminded that what seemed like defeat on the cross was actually God’s greatest triumph over sin and death. Because Jesus is alive, we are offered new life, freedom, and a restored relationship with Him. Our hope is that this message challenges you to move beyond simply knowing the story of Easter and step into the life it makes possible. Consider how the resurrection is calling you to live with renewed faith, purpose, and hope.

  • Palm Sunday // Mistaken Identity

This past Sunday, we gathered for Palm Sunday and looked at the powerful theme of mistaken identity. As Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds celebrated Him as the King they expected, but not the Savior they truly needed. We explored how easy it is to place our own expectations on Jesus, shaping Him into who we want rather than receiving Him for who He is. The same tension the crowd experienced then is something we can still wrestle with today. Take a moment to reflect and ask: do I recognize Jesus as Lord, or just as who I want Him to be?

  • Fully Engaged // 1 Corinthians 1:1-9

This past Sunday, we took a look at 1 Corinthians 1:1–9. We invite you to reflect on the truth of who you are in Christ: Called, set apart, and covered by His grace. Our identity is not based on performance, but on who God has called us to be. God has already equipped us with everything we need through Christ, strengthening us to live with purpose and confidence.

  • Jesus Makes All Things New // Binge the Bible Season 3

This past Sunday we wrapped up Binge the Bible by looking at Revelation 21:1–5 and the final chapter of God’s story. After three seasons and 31 weeks walking through the Bible, we saw how the story ends, not with humanity escaping the earth, but with God restoring the world He created.Throughout this series we have seen God make promises and keep them. From the moment sin entered the world in Genesis, God began working toward redemption and restoration. Revelation shows us the completion of that story: a new heaven and new earth where God dwells with His people, the curse is removed, and everything broken is made new. There’s one idea that sits at the center of this passage: the end of the story is not heaven we escape to, it’s a world God restores. The hope of the gospel is not that God abandons creation but that He redeems it. And that restoration begins even now as God restores people to Himself through Jesus.

  • Curated Comfort // Binge the Bible Season 3

This past Sunday, we continued Binge the Bible in Chapter 30 and looked at 2 Timothy 4:1–8. Paul’s final words to Timothy remind us that one of the biggest dangers to following Jesus isn’t a hostile culture, but curated comfort. Curated comfort happens when we quietly adjust our spiritual lives, leaving out the parts of God’s Word that feel hard, challenging, or confronting. Instead of letting truth shape us, we fill our lives with voices and habits that just confirm what we already like. Over time, this kind of curation slowly weakens our convictions and pulls us away from the steady growth that comes from staying rooted in the Word. There’s one idea I didn’t get to share during the message: curated comfort can often look like wisdom or self-care. Our culture tells us to avoid anything uncomfortable, but Scripture shows that spiritual growth often happens when the truth challenges us. The Spirit of God doesn’t confront us to shame us. He confronts us to help us grow. When we stay under the Word, even when it’s hard, God uses those moments to strengthen our faith and deepen our love for Christ.
