When we pray for others, God changes our hearts toward them and puts us in a position to see Him work.

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority..."

Paul wrote this from a Roman jail. Prayer doesn't have to be radical to be powerful—it’s simply about shifting our posture to pray for whoever God places around us.
