Are You Willing to Tear the Roof Off?
Join us at 11:00 am as we continue our COMMUNITY series with a look at one of the most radical displays of friendship in the Bible: Mark 2:1-12.
We’ve all seen people get "recklessly passionate" about things like CrossFit, Roblox, or the Dodgers. But what if we brought that same intensity to our faith? In this story, four friends were so desperate to get their paralyzed friend to Jesus that they didn't let a crowded house stop them—they literally dug through the roof to lower him down.
Today, we’re diving into what it means to care for each other deeply:
It’s a Team Sport: You don’t have to do it all. Whether you are digging through the roof, holding a corner of the mat, or bringing a casserole to a grieving neighbor, we all have a part to play.
Breaking the "Fortress": We often hide in our "fortresses of solitude," but real community requires us to get messy and move past our comfort zones.
The Most Important Work: Bringing people to Jesus can be awkward and heart-wrenching, but it gives life more meaning than anything else you could pursue.
Our world is desperate for friends who will "tear the roof off" for them. Whether you’re the one carrying the mat or the one being lowered down, there is a place for you in this story.

Ready for a fresh start this Sunday? 🌿 Join us for worship at 11:00 AM as we dive into a brand-new message about finding our true selves through the Bible!
We often think of the Bible as a rulebook or a history document, but it’s actually a powerful mirror that shows us who we really are and, more importantly, how much God loves us. Whether you’ve never opened a Bible or you've been reading it for years, we want to help your family discover it as a "love letter" from God that reveals you are worthy, special, and never too far gone.
We know life is busy and sometimes messy, but we are building a community where we look honestly at our "bumps and bruises" together and support one another on the journey.
What to expect:
Simple Truths: We’re breaking down how to read the Bible without the confusion.
Family Friendly: We believe the best Bible for your kids is simply the one they will actually read—even the comic book version!.
Real Connection: A chance to move past the "gymnastics" of trying to look perfect and just be who God created you to be.
Ever feel like some people have a "hotline" to God while you’re left wondering if your connection is just bad? Today, we kick off our new series, "Community", by looking at how prayer is the essential starting point for connecting to Jesus and one another.

As we step into the New Year, it is a natural pause point to look at our lives and ask if we are truly where we want to be. It’s time to take a real inventory because many of us feel "stuck," wondering why we aren’t growing or feeling the vibrancy we desire. In today’s message, "Dead Trees," we explore how we often hold onto things that are already cut off from the source—like past regrets, worry, or toxic comparisons—and try to make them look alive. These "dead things" eventually become a mess and a fire hazard in our lives, but God wants to prune those parts away so we can lead a fruitful life that produces more life. Join us live at 11:00 AM to discover how the pruning you’re experiencing isn’t abandonment, but the very process necessary for the growth you’ve been praying for.
In the middle of the noise, the shopping, and the "Good Grief" of the season, Charlie Brown asks the question we all feel: "Isn’t there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?"
He didn't find the answer in a flashy aluminum tree or a big parade. He found it in a quiet moment, a simple story, and a little tree that just needed a bit of love.
This year, skip the commercialism and join us for our Special Candlelight Service. We’re stepping into the "Linus moment" of the season—turning down the lights to find the one true Light that changes everything.
Kevin McCallister learned that facing your fears—whether it’s the neighbor next door or the "Wet Bandits"—leads to the greatest reward: being with family.
We believe that on the other side of fear is where God’s greatest blessings are waiting.

Christmas at the Movies: It's a Wonderful Life
This Sunday, join us as our "Christmas at the Movies" series continues with a message inspired by the timeless classic, It's a Wonderful Life!
The story of George Bailey shows us how an ordinary life can have extraordinary, unseen value. Today, we're looking at the most "ordinary" people in the Christmas story: The Shepherds.
In Luke 2:1-20, we read about a group of people quietly doing their job when suddenly, they became the first to receive the most magnificent news in history—the birth of Jesus! They were the original 'Connections Team,' running to share the good news!
This message is about how the King of the Kings chooses the forgotten, the busy, and the overlooked to connect them to His incredible story. Our vision at the church is simple: connecting people to Jesus, and the story of the Shepherds is the perfect picture of that connection.
Come discover how God sees the value and wonder in your life. Bring a friend, a co-worker, or neighbor—anyone who needs a reminder that they are loved and valued this Christmas season.
This week, we look at the movie A Christmas Story and the intense desire for the perfect gift. The Jewish people, like Ralphie, were begging for something—a military Messiah to give them political freedom.
God said, "I could give you what you want, but you'd miss out on what you need".
Christmas is not about a temporary fix; it is the moment history changed forever. It's the ultimate love rescue mission of all time.
We're diving into Luke 2 to celebrate the Joy and Victory of God's real plan:
Immanuel: God with us!
The moment the world was shaken, and God went for the jugular of sin.
The beginning of the liberation of humanity from Evil.
Christmas is about getting what we need —a restored relationship with the God who fights for us.

Is God fair? That's the question we're wrestling with today as we dive into one of Jesus' most challenging parables: the story of the workers in the vineyard (Matthew 20:1-16).
The Kingdom of Heaven doesn't operate by our logic of "equal work, equal pay." Instead, it operates on a radical system of uncommon grace where the last receives the same abundant gift as the first. It's a powerful message that challenges our hearts and shows us the staggering generosity of God.
Join us LIVE at 11:00 am as we discover what this radical truth means for your life today!
Watching for the first time? We'd love to say hello and pray for you. Go to Eastland.org/ConnectCard right now! We'll send a quick, non-spam text to answer any questions you have and find out how we can be praying for your family.
