Luke is the only gospel writer that includes this story of Jesus, being 12 years old, asking questions and discussing God's Law in the Temple. Why does he include this story?  Why does this story include a 3 day period? Why are Jesus' parents so mystified by his disappearance and activity? There is much more to this story than meets the eye!

Jesus is taken to the temple for purification (of Mom & Dad).  While at the temple, Joseph & Mary come into contact with two "witnesses" who are going to make a big impression.  Both of them have been waiting to see God's miraculous saving work on behalf of Israel.

Luke's birth narrative: Why does Luke give us such detailed historical data? Why did Jesus have to be born in Bethlehem? Does the meaning of "Bethlehem" have any significance? Is there any importance as to why Jesus was laid in a feeding troth? What is the Tower of Eder (Genesis 35:21; Micah 4:8) and why is it important for this story?

Two improbable, shocking, extraordiary, supernatural pregnancies are announced that will turn the world on its head. One of the pregnancies is for a very old couple who will need God's hand on them in order to conceive. The other is for a young virgin who will need just as much miraculous help. 

Who is this Theophilus that Luke-Acts was written to? Why did Luke consider it to be of such importance to write him a two-volume work like this? Is there something to the title Luke uses to address him? Why does the Centurion at the foot of the cross in Luke proclaim Jesus' "innocence?" Why does Acts end with such a cliffhanger if Paul is already dead? These are important question that could all be resolved with the same answer. 

A lowly Jew is about to be put over all of the king's previous governors.  Naturally they are jealous and cannot accept this "demotion" without a fight. They must trump up charges if they wish to get rid of Daniel, however, because he is so righteous.  Their plot against him works and he is thrown into a hole in the ground never to be seen again.
