In 1 Kings 21 Ahab is trying to take possession of a vineyard from a righteous man who exemplifies to be faithful to the Lord's will. Through the work of his evil wife, Jezebel, he acquires the vineyard which does not belong to him. For the attentive reader, many earmarks can be found throughout the story pointing one forward to the great story of God's vineyard being unjustly threatened by the future religious elite. The great Son and Vineyard Owner will also be killed through evil schemes.
