The Sonnentag has been open for a few months but its still new for the majority of those in the community. So Joe and Kelly bring on Sharlae Vanis, the communications coordinator, to fill us in on this multi-purpose building.  From the notable arena space, to the large fieldhouse to the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine clinc area.

NAMI offers a variety of programming virtually as well asfocused on the younger population.  Local Education Program Coordinator Barb Habben goes into detail.  We learn how with virtual capacities, there are even more specific groups available because of pulling in more regions.They also shed light on what some of the honest shortcomings of virtual is vs. in-person, but why it’s a valuable option for many.

NAMI also has programs geared toward youth in our community.  Both with youth themselves, but also gearedspecifically for parents/caregivers for youths with mental wellness challenges. These programs are offered virtually, making it much easier for parents.

The connection between physical and spiritual health is verymuch real. Spring time is an opportunity to reconnect with one’s spirituality and Dr. Usher brings on Mikayala Scheel from Immaculate Conception in Eau Claire to discuss a non-denominational event coming this April, to help people reconnect or refresh their spiritual health

This three-night event runs April 6,7 and 8 starting at 6:30pm.  Each night will feature music and speakers with nationally renowned individuals.  They’ll cover a number of topics from finding and receiving love, to sharing our powers with our neighbors.

Event is open to all faiths (and non faiths), and to all ages…including childcare available for those with very little ones.
