Our experience of love in this world can make it difficult to understand the love of God. Jesus is God’s way of showing us love. God’s love for you is a gift. An unbreakable one.

In this sermon series, we have talked about how God grows us in faith through making a commitment to worship, prayer, Bible study, missions, and giving. What if we put that together? What does it mean to respond to God’s love with our whole lives?

A commitment to prayer moves us into action; prayers are calls to change our hearts, to have them be more in line with the heart of God. A commitment to prayer beckons us and calls us to move beyond the norm and the comfortable and to go, do, and be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in the world. How have you seen God at work in your life and the lives of those around you as you have made a commitment to prayer?

In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus invites us to see beyond the literal story to a way of life. How is Jesus inviting each of us to living faith through missions?

In our commitment to worship, our lives will be forever changed, as we abide in Christ and Christ abides in us. It’s not about us abiding in ourselves, but about us abiding in Christ. What does it mean to commit ourselves to worship, to commit ourselves to Christ?

As we wrap up the Neighboring series, building real relationships with real people in our actual neighborhoods can get messy. For better or worse. What if messiness is the goal? Why would Jesus call us to that?

When life grows dark, we look for light. Where are we meant to find it? In what way are we meant to be it? How do we do that in our neighborhoods?
